all the letters were written out of san's point of view, and he wrote them after the angel court had found out about his and wooyoung's secret relationship.

it was forbidden for an angel to fall in love with a mortal, and wooyoung, who was actually only assigned to earth to help san out of his misery, grew too fond of the male.

after the angel court caught them together, they banned wooyoung from heaven and sent him to a different place, far far away from san.

whether they got back together in the end is left to your imagination.
