This is a handy dandy guide to this book.. Thing... Whatever you would call it. The guide includes characters, their names, a small intro, and then about the kingdoms, and whatever I feel like putting in here with limited spoilers! That is the hard part since I will get on a roll and just keep typing, then I realize I don't want the reader to know that at all yet cause it's suppose to be a big surprise. And the info is based at the start of the story, unless otherwise specified. And fair warning, I had to make up all the kingdom names... So, sorry if they seem kind of... Out there..

SPOILER ALERTS!!!!

Kingdoms in Taliphaim ( Tale-Ee-fame)

Burbo - (Bur-bow) (Dark green and brown) Burbonians, freezing climates, tundra, strict lifestyle, feared prisons. Warriors. The dragon Orson ruled over before being killed by Geoffrey the Wicked who shortly after created The Pit and threw his companion in there. As a consequence, the dragon blood took over Geoffrey forcing him to kill himself. His companion was set free and became the new king, he was called Sargon and made a code of chivalry to make up for Geoffrey's evil deeds. Mo's uncle is also called Geoffrey in the Wicked king's memory and is now considered the king of Tyranny.

Kuynim - (Kya-nim) (Pale green and yellow) Kuthians, mild climate, forested region, free lifestyle. Archers. The dragon that had ruled there was a minor one, but protected the forest. The people living their worshiped the dragon and considered him their Protector, which became his name. He did not die by any man, but instead gave his life to a still born child who then developed "Dragon Sight" and the true ruler of Kuynim is any child born with the dragon eyes. The throne is not inherited, but the spirit of Protector roams the kingdom and chooses who he sees fit to give his power to. Only one with "Dragon Sight" can see Protector's spirit. The first leader was a queen name Lotus.

Opin - (ah-pin) (Maroon and dark blue) Opians, harsh weather, mountain region, are in tribes, bred barbarians. No dragon ever ruled this kingdom, instead ruled the mountain until hunted down by a group from Trine sent by the high king himself to get rid of the menace as the dragon had made a hobby of capturing children and eating them alive. The killing blow was given to the strongest warrior who decided (with the high king's permission) to start his own "kingdom". The king did not think the warrior would succeed, but Burbonians who did like the code of chivalry made their way to the mountains and Opin was created. The first "King" was called Chief Opin.

Sevili - (sev-ill-ee) (Lavender and white) Sevillians, desert region, incredibly hot, small kingdom, hunters. The Dragon of Sevili was actually only an egg from the dragon of Advern. This egg was taken by merchants and sold in Judin after the civil war. During travel the egg broke, killing the would have been dragon. Although, similar to the dragon of Kuynim, it's spirit lingered and it created an oasis and became a sort of nameless spirit the watched over Sevili. The first child born in the small tribe village that had made their home at the oasis was given the gift of flight. Soon, the village grew and was dubbed a small kingdom. However, unlike Kuynim, the throne could be inherited in Sevili, and any direct descendant was given "Dragon's Strength" (Once Gifted, arms become similar to a dragon's in strength) once they were officially made King/Queen. First King was Kilan Sevili.

Gyungon - (gee-un-gong) (Yellow and pale red)Gonians, plains, average weather, travelers, like native Americans. Not really a kingdom as it is a territory. The dragon that ruled over the plains was not a dragon at all. Instead it was a White Lion that ruled over the land. Like the Phoenix, it could be reborn. The First Lion, called Leo, was killed by the traveling tribe and his fur and main were worn by the chief. This placed an almost magic barrier around him and his skin could not be pierced by even the sharpest blade.  When they came  upon another white lion, instead of killing it, they worshiped him and once the new chief was made, they sacrificed the white lion. The chief wore the furs like his father before him. It soon became tradition until the white lion never appeared again and the tribe felt guilt and hatred for their bad deeds. No official first ruler, they have been in Taliphaim the longest out of all the kingdoms.
