Everybody has secrets

Chapter one

Prim ran to the meadow and lay her head down to cry katniss had volunteered as tribute for her and there was nothing prim could do to help her prim helped her mother heal people because prim hated being useless she want to help people...to have a purpose but right now she was useless she couldn't do what she loved to help people prim held her knees to her chest hiding her face "are you ok?" Prim looked up to see who it was it was Travis a boy from school "yah" said prim wiping her eyes and nose her and Travis had been friends since they where little whenever katniss went hunting with gale prim had met Travis in the meadow they would tell secrets Travis knew things about prim she wouldn't even tell katniss Travis set next to prim she started to cry again he pulled her into a hug her head rest on his shoulder "it's going to be ok she can win" Travis whispered into her ear reassuringly while stroking her hair "thank you" said prim pulling out of the hug a sudden flush of embarrassment ran through her she didn't know why she had the right to cry she had been reaped and now her sister was going to take her place and fight to the death "I understand how you feel no need to be embarrassed"said Travis his brother had been reaped when he was 7 prim knew he would have volunteered for him if he had been old enough at the time prim had been with Travis when he had watched his brother slowly and painfully die on the TV prim could remember it as if it had been yesterday Travis had been unfathomable once the cannon on the TV had gone off he'd got up and walked to his room and hadn't come out for five days prim hadn't heard Travis mention his brother since until now after a moment of silence they lied down on the soft grass of the meadow and watched the clouds it relaxed both of them after a while prim fell asleep next to Travis when she woke up it was getting cold out and Travis had put his jacket over prim even though it was worn and ripped in a few places it still gave prim comfort "I should go home" said prim yawning "ok" said Travis taking his jacket he stood up then held out his hand to help prim up Travis walked prim home after helping her up it was getting dark and you could see the moon prim wished she could have watched the clouds forever next to Travis but now both of them
left alone besides there parents they both had small jobs to help out the family so they had to get a good nights sleep. prim knew gale would hunt the food but prim now had to go to the black market which she hated. that night prims last goodby to katniss haunted her through out the night in her nightmares
