Cynthia's pov- As me and my mom got off the plane i was nervous to see kairi. I haven't seen him in years. I even follows his tiktok but never got around to texting him. But i mean how much could really change between us right? We went over to go find our luggage, not all of it though because our furniture is coming in a couple of days, from florida. In the meantime we're gonna stay with kairis and hims mom and his sister.
I saw my moms luggage and I pointed it out for her, while i tried to see if my was almost here. After my mom got her luggaged, we couldn't find mine. We waited for about 10 min but it never came out, we ended up finding out that my bag got lost along with other luggages. At this point i don't know what to do because that had all my makeup, most of my clothes, and etc. Moving back to New Jersey hasn't been the best idea so far, but i least Im going to see my childhood best friend today. I just tried to keep a positive mood, and forced a smile on to my face.
It soon turned into a real smile when I saw a full grown kairi standing against a black range rover. I ran up to him and hug him tightly like how i used to when we were little kids. I felt his hand slightly pat my back a couple times. I was confused, why didn't he hug me back? I pull away confused and with a small disappointed look. I guess things really did change between us.
My mom and kairis mom were putting her stuff in the trunk while talking and I was waiting inside the car with kairi. It was really quite he was just on his phone texting someone. I broke the silence with a quick small comment.
"has anything changed around here yet?" I said with a gentle voice.I mean besides our friendship I thought to myself.
"I mean not really" he said after take in a deep breathe.
"The old arcade is still there" he continued to say.
"ooo you mean louie's arcade" I said.
"yessir" He said while still looking down at his phone
"speaking of louie's arcade look what I have" I said with a happier tone, while pulling a stuffed doggie that was 10 years old
"whats that?" He asked with a confused face on him
"you don't remember.." I said with a sad look on my face, as he shocked his head no
"you gave it to me-" I got cut off by the boy sitting next to me.
"the day you moved to Florida... i know i was jus messing with you" He let out a small giggle, and so did I
The rest of the car ride was mostly silent, besides our moms talking to each other. Kairi was just on his phone most of the time so i decided to go on my too. I went over to Instagram and saw that he posted.

~back to Cynthia's pov~ For a big minute i forgot he was "famous" And ig he has a girlfriend now too. I clicked on her profile and she has 20k. she's actually really pretty but she doesn't have any post with kairi on her feed.
My mom soon took my attention away from my phone. as she said that we have arrived at our old house . I got out the car and went to go help get sum of the boxes out. I looked up at our old beautiful 2 story house with a nice big oak tree you can see coming from the backyard. Since none of our furniture has arrive we will be staying at kairis place for while since he literally lives right next door. I walk over to his gate to that surrounded his entire front lawn. I open it and memorizes started coming back. ~flash back~ "Tag ur it! and no tag backs" I said running away from mattia, as he runs after alejandro. "cindy over here!" kairi whispered loud enough for me to here. He was hiding under the porch. I decided to join him and crawled in their with him. "when did u find out about this spot it's-" he cut me off by covering his mouth with my hand. At this point mattia and ale teamed up and were looking for us all other the place, and they were right above us. "maybe they went inside" mattia suggested. after he said that all u can here is little foots steps running inside. me and kairi looked at eachother and we ended up giggling. Once we stopped kairi said.. "I found out about this place when i was throwing the ball with my dad... well before he left.." he said looking down in despair. "i'm sorry kai" i said as i go closer to him and gave him a hug. I pulled away and we heard mattia and ale above us again. "where the hell are they!" ale yelled in frustration, and ran off again. Kairi and I just looked at eachother and laughed, once it got silent we just looked at each other. We locked eye contact for about a few seconds. I grabbed his face and kissed him.
