'they probably think that we're crazy for coming every single day' kathy pinches liams cheek and rests her head against the shelf of CD's.
'they can't kick us out! we're really their only customers and we are good ones' liam brings up a good point. the record shop stays because of the new couple. everyday they come and find anything new. sometimes they''ll beg the workers to release new music early to them. the owner knows them so well he sometimes gives free cd's to them.
'any new suggestions?' liam shakes his head no. kathy pouts her lip making liam smile, leaning in for a kiss. liams heart beats 80 times faster than kathys.
kathy is falling in love with liam, but liam has fallen deep in love with kathy. 4 months into the relationship and liam already choked out 'i love you' making kathy running away. a few days later kathy said it back because she felt bad.
liam and kathy are staring into each others eyes. kathys heart melts and a sudden realization hits her, she does love him.
'i love you liam' kathy says making liam smile.
'i love you kathy'' they lean into another kiss. they stay silent for a few moments. they are both famished and need lunch. leaving the buliding hand and hand, they walk over to the sandwich shop that is just at the end of the block.
liam being a gentleman, he pays for kathys food. kathy and liam eat their sandwiches laughing about each others dumb stories.
'i'm not lying! i swear that my nana got stuck in the washer!' they both crack up holding their stomaches. finishing up they walk back to the record store and stat walking around more.
'what about hardcore rap, we should really try to listen to it' kathy suggests and liam scrunches his nose.
'we'll start off with legendary rappers. who do you know of?' liam and kathy walk over to the sign that says 'hip hop/rap' and they scan around.
'tupac! my dads side of the family used to love him i swear' kathy finds a cd of tupacs greatest hits and they head to kathy's apartment.
they start listening to tupac and they listen to every word he says.
'truth is what he speaks' liam says.
'dumb is what you speak' kathy jokes, making liam do his famous pout. kathy pinches his cheeks and kisses his lips gently. she pulls away, making liam wanting more of her kisses.
he grabs her collar and lurs her in. both realizing how long they've been kissing, they stop and listen to more music.
listening to music is just a norm for the both of them. listening to music together is just adding more reasons why they enjoy each others company. music is more than a beat, it's a story or a sense of a emotion. showing each other their favorite artist together and why they love that song is exposing as it is, and they both feel comfortable sharing it with each other.
falling asleep to wait by M83, liam is holding kathy in. never wanting to let go. both asleep, liam dreaming nothing and kathy dreaming of her reuniting with someone.
12:54 am and liams phone rings. liam waking up, he lets go of kathy and grabs his phone. kathy wakes up but doesn't say anything, her not wanting to interrupt the phone call.
'hello?' liams says groggily. kathy then hears a woman's voice on the other side. kathy hears everything she is saying clearly.
'i miss you liam' the woman slurs and liam sighs.
'sophia you're drunk. go to sleep.' liam rolls his eyes about to hang up until sophia says something.
'i love you liam, so much' liams chest tightens and remembers her smile.
sophia and liam broke up 4 months before he met kathy.sophia and liam were the prime couple. the most good looking one in fact. the whole town assumed they were going to get married. sophia broke up with liam by kissing one of his best friends. sophia got drunk and then accidentally kissed him. liam told her 'you can't kiss someone by accident. have you been wanting to kiss him?' constantly fighting, sophia broke up with liam, packed her and bags and left.
liam hangs up the phone and turns around to hug kathy again.
kathy's chest hurts thinking that liam still loves this other woman, nor does she know who sophia is.
kathy can't sleep for the rest of the night, she writes liam a note and leaves.
