CHAPTER FOUR :::

[Chase' P.o.V.]

"Hey have you seen Amber I haven't talked to her in like two days, I called her dorm but her roommate said she hasn't seen or heard from her either." I asked my Mom. I'm really starting to get worried now its not like her to just up and disappear like that.

"No honey I haven't talked to her either, I've been so busy packing and planning stuff for this vacation. I'm sure she's fine, she's a big girl now probably got a new boyfriend and all."

"Yeah your probably right. Ok thanks Mom, I love you and I'll talk to you before you leave." I hung the phone up and started pacing through my kitchen. Something's wrong I know it. Amber wouldn't go missing like that. But where would I even start to look for her? I've checked all her known spots, even checked in with her professors and they said she hasn't attended any classes in two days. Maybe I could call Darryl he's a detective he might be able to sniff around for some information. I pulled out cell phone and got to work on the task at hand.

[Kalibs P.o.V.]

I see a beautiful girl around my age in a lab strapped to a chair. She has long wavy dark brown hair, piercing bright green eyes, cream colored radiant skin and a angelic face. She has all these wires hooked up to her. There's about eight people in the room, all wearing lab coats. Some are checking monitors, making notes or checking the wires attached to the girl.

"LET ME GO!!" She screams.

"Just a few more tests Amber and we will let you go." Says one of the men in a white lab coat. So her names Amber huh.

"I've been during your stupid tests for days now. I want to go home." God she sounds so tired and defeated. I can't help but to want to protect her, comfort her. I start to make my way over to her. Everyone just walks past me as if I'm not there. I make it over to her and extended a hand out to her. Instead of landing on her shoulder as it was intended to do, my hand phases through her like I'm a ghost. I quickly yank my hand back examining it. Yup that's my hand nothing wrong there. I try again a little more cautiously this time and again the same results.

Maybe I can snoop around a little, find out something so I can help her. I noticed a double sided mirror and walk through it. There's a man in a traditional black suit observing the experiments through the glass. He was probably in his mid forties, head full of salt and pepper colored hair but the most disturbing thing about him most was his eyes. Piercing blue eyes that held no compassion in them what so ever. Blue like ice. He turns to one of the scientists.

"Report." He says in his sinister voice.

"Well sir, Mrs. Thompkins' able to move objects with nothing more then will power. She seems to be developing more control over her ability the more we make her use it. We just got her to throw a 500 ibs. Weight across the room but so far that seems to be the extent of it. But if I'm correct and we keep pushing her she should be out do that. I believe her abilities like a muscle the more she uses it the stronger it gets."

"Ok good. Keep running your tests. I have to meet with the President tonight and we found more of these freaks. So I'll be back in about a week with more test subjects. You are dismissed." He says. The scientists nods abruptly and leaves. The man in the suit then turns and I could swear he was looking at me.

"Good afternoon Kalib doing a little spying are we? Don't worry you'll be here soon enough, you and all those other freaks. So brace yourself cause I'm coming for you."

I jolt awake rubbing my face. What the fuck!?! That girl with the most beautiful green eyes I've ever seen, with the dark brown almost black hair. Amber Thompkins. I have to help her and quickly too before that man comes for me. I pull out my cell phone quickly dial the number and put the phone to my ear. He picks up on the third ring.

"Hey Kalib what's up man."

"Hey D, man I need a favor I'm looking for information on a girl her names Amber Thompkins think you could help me out."

"Dark brown hair and bright green eyes?"

"Yeah that's the one you know her?"

"Her brother and I are good friends and he just called me. Apparently she's been missing for two days."

"Could you give me his number?"

"Yeah no problem man."

I quickly scribble down the number and thank Darryl for his help.

Ring!!!

"Hello?"

"Hey is this Chase?"

"Yeah. This is him."

"Think we could meet somewhere we need to talk?"

"Who is this? And what do we need to talk about?"

"My name is Kalib and its about your sister."

I'm sorry guys I know it's short but I figured half a loaf is better then no loaf right. Anyway I'm trying to make them longer but I seem to have writers block so be patient me.
