Arthit puts his finger down since Kongpob wasn't there anymore. He looked at the clock, and it was 9 a.m. He quickly went to get his phone. He was going to call Kongpob, and yell at him before he leaves for Chiang Mai. Kongpob needs to stop this nonsense. He dialed Kongpob's number, but he only got a busy signal. Frowning, he tried to dial a video call through LINE, but it kept saying he had no internet connection. Nothing worked. He couldn't get through no matter how many times he tried.
Arthit then tried to call his parents, and the same happened with them. He got so frustrated, he threw his phone on the ground.
He decided to just get dressed, and march over to Kongpob's house right now. Forget the Spirit of The Future. He needed to straighten out Kongpob right now.
Arthit grabbed his keys, and headed for the door. However, for some reason the door was stuck. He pulled with all his strength, and the door wouldn't budge. He grabbed onto the door knob with both hands, and pulled with one foot against the wall.
"Ah..." Arthit landed on his ass with the door knob in his hand. He had broken the door knob, yet the door was still shut. Arthit threw the door knob at the door.
"What the fuck! I know it's you guys. Just come out already." Arthit shouted.
"Hahaha...."
Arthit turned at the sound of a woman's laughter. He saw a woman sitting in his armchair facing him.
"Prae? Seriously?" Arthit asked getting off the floor rubbing his ass."I'm the Spirit of The Future. This is just a shell. You should already know that." Future spoke with a straight face, and white beaming eyes.
"Eh, yeah. I just expected another male friend." Arthit spoke not daring to look at Future.
"Why? Both genders are created equal. Only you humans make the stupid mistake of thinking males are superior. This body has some gorgeous legs, and her boobs are so perfectly shaped. These heels make her legs look even longer." Future ran her hands over her body, and legs.
"This is so awkward. Why must you guys all be so perverted?" Arthit asked almost in a whisper.
Future smirked. "Hahaha....because we can. Now, shall we begin?"
"Look, I really need to go to Kongpob's house right now. He is being stupid, and I can fix that on my own."
"Tsk....tsk....I heard you are quite a piece of work. I just didn't believe it until now." Future stood up from her seat, and snapped her fingers.
Arthit was flipped upside down, hanging in midair. Future twirled her finger, and Arthit started spinning like a cartwheel.
"Ahhhhh....let me down. Please. I'll go with you." Arthit begged.
Future snapped her fingers, and Arthit dropped to the ground instantly.
"Ouuuu...." Arthit rubbed his head and shoulders. And then he slowly got up to stand again. Damn that hurts.
"Now, where were we? Ah, yes. We need to get going." Future grabbed Arthit's wrist.
Arthit felt like he was traveling through some kind of galactic wind tunnel with a bright light at the end of it.
"Walk into the light." Future ordered.
All the sudden he was standing in the hallway of what looked like a hospital.
"Where is this? Who is here?" Arthit panicked looking to Future.
Future pointed to a room at the end of the hallway, and Arthit's eyes followed. The bright florescent lights, and sterile smell of the hospital gave him chills.
Arthit hesitantly walked down the hallway with Future following behind him. He internally prayed that nothing serious has happened to any of his loved ones.
Just as Arthit was about to reach the last room, he saw himself come out of the room. He was more like pushed out of the room.
"Dad, I have the money. We can send mom to Japan for better treatment. There's got to be options. Just listen to me." Arthit tried to push his way back into the room.
"We don't need your stinking money. Where were you when we needed you? It's too late now. We don't want to see you. We have no son. Now, get out before I call security." Arthit's father pushed Arthit further, and slams the door shut.
"Dad. Dad. Please let me in. I just want to get mom the best treatments. Dad. Do you hear me? Arthit said through the door.
Arthit kept hitting his hand on the door. "Dad! Open the door. Dad!"
"Sir, you are disturbing others. I'm going to have to ask you to leave." A security guard stood next to Arthit.
Arthit looked at the closed door one last time before leaving.
What is wrong with mom? Arthit asked his own figure that couldn't see or hear him. He then turned to Future, but she shrugged her shoulders, and walked through the door. Arthit followed, and walked through the door too. The feeling was a bit eerie to Arthit.
When he got inside, he saw his father sitting next to his mother that was laying in bed. He was holding his mother's hand crying.
"This is all my fault. I should have paid more attention. I would have made you seek treatment a lot earlier."
"Honey, it's not your fault. I didn't even notice myself. How could you have known? Somethings can't be helped. This is my fate. Promise me not to be too hard on Oon when I'm not here." Arthit's mom caresses her husband's cheek.
"I don't want to talk about him. He is no son of mine."
"He is our only son. You must not give up on him." Arthit's mom said.
"And we are his only parents. Does he care? No. His job is more important than us. I know you don't want him to waste money on treatments, but maybe the technology in Japan is better. Maybe we can give it a try."
"No. The doctor has already said chances are very low. There's no point in wasting his hard earned money."
Arthit's father cried with his head down on his wife's hand.
What the heck does Mom have? Arthit walked over to look at the medical chart hanging in the pocket attached to the bed. He couldn't make out the doctor's chicken scratch writing. All he knows is that it's something very serious.
His tears started falling, and Arthit walked over to the side of the bed. "Mom, tell me what is wrong with you? Please. I'm so sorry. Please let me help."
Arthit kneeled on the floor next to his dad, he tries to grab his dad's arm, but his hands just went through it.
"Dad, I promise I will be a better son. Please give me a chance. Please let me help. Please save mom."
Arthit cried and pleaded.
Future came up behind him, and put a hand on his shoulder. "Come, it is time."
"No! I don't want to leave them. What's going to happen? Please tell me that mom will be okay. Please." Arthit cried.
"You are only meant to see what you see, and now we must go."
Future extended her hand in front of Arthit, and reluctantly Arthit placed his wrist in it.
Maybe this is just one big nightmare. The sooner he gets this over with, the sooner he can wake up.
