I just moved into a new house due to the fact that I'm poor and it's cheap. I stepped out of my favorite color car and eyed the decent house infront of me. The house looked like any normal house. Usually houses that were so cheap looked like someone died inside but this one was nice, i wonder why. I soon began unpacking my stuff into my new house and lucky for me my furniture arrived a day early.Once done unpacking I signed and laid on my brown couch. My eyes began to flutter close as I was exhausted after the move. I was almost asleep into a heard a loud bang from the kitchen startling me awake.
I slid off the couch and headed to the kitchen to investigate the sound. I entered the kitchen to see a small glass cup laying on the ground, shattered. I was to sleepy to actually wonder how it fell so i cleaned it up then went to sleep. As I continue to live in this house strange things would happen on a daily. Doors would slam shut, I would find dishes on the floor, water would randomly start running, the list goes on. The house was cheap so I figured just maybe the house was haunted but I hadn't been hurt so why leave, right? One night I sat on my couch with my laptop on my thighs. I was texting a friend of mines that so happen to be my co-worker as well, maybe a crush. I had the tv on for background noise I left it on an anime called Shimoneta due to the fact I've seen it thousands times. I was caught off guard when the television started to make staticky noise so it caught my attention causing me to look up.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!" A boy walked through the wall and just looked at me. His light brown eyes seem to be filled with anger as he looked down at me. I was stunned my body froze as I looked into his eyes. "DONT TELL ME YOUER SCARED NOW IVE BEEN TRYING TO SCARE YOU AWAY FOR THE PAST TWO WEEKS!" He screamed.
I didn't know if I was scared, I couldn't speak my throat felt dry and I grew more confused by the seconds.
"You know I'm not even supposed to reveal my self to humans but you just wouldn't leave," The random ghost boy crossed his arms in puffed air out of his mouth as if he was a little kid.
I looked him up and down analyzing the way he stood and the way he look. He had black hair and light brown skin that looked almost pale. He wore a black jacket that looked as if something had been spilled on it. Lastly he wore black jeans and black shoes.
"What are you looking at," The boy said harshly as he placed his hands on his hip.
I coughed slightly and regained my composure.
"It's doesn't matter just get out of my house," he tapped his foot and crossed his arms. The repeated sound of his foot hitting the wooden floor bounced off the walls.
"First of all this is my house now," I closed my laptop and laid it to the side on the couch. "And I will not be going anywhere," I made sure my words were stern, ghost or not he's not scaring me.
"No, this is my house I've been here my whole life.." His eyes looked around the room for a second. "My whole death and life..." He added.
"I don't care and I don't plan on leaving any time soon. The house is cheep and it happens to be closer to my job. The fact that you've probably scared away countless of people from such a good house is wild to me," I laid my arms on my legs and continued to look up at him.
The ghost boy squinted his eyes before disappearing from infront of me. I took a deep breath and laid back on the couch. I let out an exaggerated sigh and ran my fingers through my hair. This is crazy...Another week went by and the strange stuff got worse. Sometimes I would come back from work and I would have to get into my own house through a window because he locks me out. "AY GHOST BOY COME OUT LETS TALK!" I scream standing in the living room. He appeared in front of me with a smug look on his face.
"You moving out?" He titled his head and crossed his arms.
"No-" He disappeared before I could say anything else.
"But! But I did come to a conclusion to our problem,"
He didn't appear but I did hear him speaking. "Which is you leaving,"
"No, it's us being...roommates," It was a statement but it sounded like a question.
He appeared inches infront of my face causing my eyes to widen and I took a step back. I took a breath before I continued speaking. "I don't want to leave but you want me gone so you waste your time bothering me, correct?"
"True I guess,"
"Well maybe instead we could be roommates...instead of getting on each other nerves we could possibly share this house and try not to annoy each other," I say as my eyes kept drifting around the house.
He sighed and ran his brown fingers through his black hair. "Fine whatever just..we need some rules,"
"Bet," I smiled slightly and my eyes glistened in the living room light. I was kinda happy I think I just did the impossible, befriended Casper.
"First, don't bring anybody over— best friend, boyfriend, girlfriend, family, I don't care. I don't want you here and I don't want anyone else here one breathing person is enough,"
"That's dumb but whatever," I rolled my eyes. "Second, you have to knock before entering any room after all I do need my privacy," I smirked slightly.
"I'm not a pervert you Idiot,I'm a ghost," He looked away from me as if he was flustered.
"Third don't mess with my stuff," I said.
"Fine,fine whatever," He replies.
That was all the rules we had so we stood there silently for a minute.
"The name Braxton..." He said quietly.
"Oh uh.. (y/n)" I gave him a friendly smirk before he disappeared for the day. Leaving me and my thoughts for the rest of the day and night.
