3rd P. O. V.
The storm was almost endless. Two knights trudged through the pounding flakes of snow to a cave on a mountainside, not knowing that they were to meet at their same location.
Coal, the knight of the Conifer kingdom, was moving south on a hunting trip he had been lost on weeks ago. Now, without food or water, he was slowly making his way to a mountain he knew has a cave to escape the onslaught of freezing snow and wind.
Gren, a knight from the rival kingdom of Lucia, was on a similar mission. He had gone to mark trees in the forest of Hallet to be cut for lumber for his kingdom's growing population. He was going West to the mountain where he had survived a storm like this before.Coal's P. O. V.
I had no food, no drinkable water as it had all frozen long ago, and I was beginning to lose hope that I remembered the location of the cave, but soon I could see the opening in the distance. I hurried toward the cave and finally entered moving all the way to the back and feeling instantly warmer, though not by much. I pulled out some dry sticks and birch bark from my pack and stacked it up behind a rock, blocking it from the wind. I found some more sticks in the back of the cave, and started a small fire with my flint and steel. A small opening in the caves roof vented the smoke, and I leaned back, relishing the warmth of the small fire.Gren's P. O. V.
I had tripped over a root and twisted my ankle, but I had to keep moving. It was life or death. Thank God I still had some rations left in my bag, I also brought some large sticks for a fire when I got to the cave. Out of nowhere the mountain rose from the swirling curtains of white, the cave opening in sight, and faint footprints leading to it's mouth. Someone else was here. I limped to the cave entrance and nearly collapsed from exhaustion, not seeing who the other person in the cave was, but I didn't care. I was too exhausted to do anything.

Suddenly, as I was warming up my frozen water, a figure stumbled through the cave opening and collapsed onto the floor a few feet from me. I recognised him instantly and my mind filled with dread. It was Gren. My most dispised rival out of all other knights, and a Lucian, an enemy of my kingdom for millennia. He didn't seem to notice me, and I could see no weapons on him. I had no weapons eithet, but I could figure that out later. For now it was just a wait until he saw my face.
