Warren sat in bed for the longest time, watching Serenity sleep, and thinking about how he found her with her face laying in the pie, and an empty bottle of booze in her hand. Wishing he didn't bring her to the point that she felt she needed to get herself that way. The longer he watched her and didn't see any movement, the more worried he became, and kept asking for her to open her eyes. After getting no response, he debated on bringing her in to see if she may have gotten alcohol poisoning, and brought his finger up to her upper lip to see if he could feel her breathing.
The touch of his finger above her lip must have tickled her, and pulled his finger back when she moved a little. "Serenity?" he asked while placing his hand on her shoulder, moving her gently, and trying to get her to open her eyes. When she wouldn't, he got out of bed, and decided to find out where she got the bottle of bourbon from.
He walked into the kitchen, and saw Esther and Harriet preparing breakfast. "Morning ladies."
Harriet looked his way, and smiled. "Well, good morning Warren, how did your night turn out?" she asked excitedly, hoping to hear it went well.
He walked in further, and closer to them, resting his hands on the center island when he approached. He looked at the two and noticed how they were both giving him the look, smiling, curiously waiting for him to tell them how the night went, and lowered his head while he stretched his back. "It didn't go the way I had hoped it would, but it went alright."
"Just alright?" asked Harriet.
"I see you got a hold of the pies, how were they?" Esther asked, smiling.
"I wouldn't know, Serenity ate them. Which is why I'm here..." he groaned, standing up, and crossing his arms.
"Oh?" Esther asked, looking confused.
"I found her in the kitchen early this morning, passed out, and with her face lying in the blueberry pie. She also had an empty bottle of bourbon in her hand. You wouldn't happen to know whose bottle that was, would you?"
Both Esther and Harriet looked at each other shrugging their shoulders, then both turned to the fridge pointing. "I'm not sure who's bottle that was, but we noticed there was a note on the fridge this morning," Harriet said.
Warren walked over to the fridge, and tore the list off. He looked at the wine rack, and turned around, facing them. "Who didn't fill her wine rack?"
"I'm guessing Parker, she asked him a couple days ago to refill it," Harriet says, while beating the eggs.
"Thanks," he says, lowering his hand, looking disappointed. "I'm guessing that must have been Parker's bourbon, or I should say, was his."
"How is she feeling, is she hungover?" Esther asked, thinking she better give him some headache pills to give her, and walked over to the cupboard grabbing a bottle, then pouring her a glass of water. "Here, give her these," she says, handing him the water and pills.
"She's still asleep." he says, setting the pills and water on the counter, then looked over her shoulder to see what they were making. He then walked over, and picked up the empty bottle he had set on the counter. "Do me a favor... when you're done making breakfast, will one of you bring her breakfast to our room please? I don't think she'll be leaving that room anytime soon... I would like to go have a word with Parker."
"Sure can," Harriet says, watching him leave the kitchen. She looked at Esther, and shook her head with a shit eating grin, "Looks like someone's in trouble, glad it wasn't us."
Serenity slowly opened her eyes, feeling groggy, and rolled her eyes around slowly, looking around the room, and trying to figure out what happened the night before. Last thing she remembered was, being in the kitchen, trying the pies, and drinking bourbon. She then furrowed her eyebrows further when she realized she was in bed, and tried remembering how she got back in the room. She rolled over to see if Warren was in bed, and closed her eyes when she saw he wasn't there, and sighed heavily thinking he was gone once again.
