"So Chenggie, what do you wanna do?" Jaehyun asked with a smile plastered onto his face. Sicheng tried to avoid the older's gaze as he blushed, it wasn't too long till the other noticed.

“Now now, what's going inside that smart brain of yours?” the male questioned as the two continued walking down the hall. “We could eat the cake? I didn't eat much for breakfast..”

“Alright then! But put your extra gifts in your locker, open them later instead, for now concentrate on me,” Sicheng had no choice but to nod at this, they walked towards his locker and he gently placed all the other gifts inside before they proceeded walking to reach their destination.

Their steps slowly faded as they reached another end of the building's exit where it seemed peaceful, a perfect place for a picnic indeed, but this time, without a blanket. (sinCe mR. YOoNOh forGot tO geT oNe)

Although the duo did manage to settle down on the grass without any discomfort due to the grass type being bermuda, (it's a soft kind of grass, I love sitting on top of those but they're mostly found on funerals 🤧)

Sicheng tried to make himself even more comfortable by placing his handkerchief down but as he was about to smoothen it out on the ground, a hand held his wrist.

The boy looked up to see a Jaehyun shaking his head in disapproval, the older then stood up and took his own handkerchief before grabbing Sicheng's handkerchief handing it over before properly laying his.

“Y'know.. Ya didn't need to do that, Jae,” Sicheng mumbled as he sat down, “You could've used it for yourself.” he added to his words after building courage to talk once again.

Jaehyun chuckled, “It's fine, really. I'd rather have the prince be able to use his handkerchief till later,” Sicheng pouted at this, “It wouldn't get fully dirty, it's bermuda grass—”

The Chinese boy's words suddenly cut themself, no words were able to escape his mouth as he opened the cake's box for the second time this morning.

At the peaceful yet low-key awkward silence (cAw caW CaW), Jaehyun was pretty concerned of the other for the sudden change of tension. Yet, the Korean male's stare never left the Chinese, as the younger searched for the mini plastic knife till he eventually found it, cutting a small peace and plopping it into his mouth in delight.

The male let out a small moan of satisfaction (dO nOt gEt dUrTy biJJes) which made Jaehyun feel even weirder, preventing him from talking, only given the choice of adjusting his collar as he started sweating.

“Are you okay?” Sicheng asked, the other male perked up and nodded vigorously, wiping his sweat. “I'm fine, I'm fine, don't worry, it's just the sun—” Jaehyun laughed nervously.

Sicheng then cut another slice before handing it over to the older, “Then have some cake, but are you sure it's because of the sun? Like, I know the sun is still rising but it's not that hot, and in fact soon it'll snow again.”

This went on for a few minutes with Sicheng explaining his side about the weather in China, knowing that it really wasn't the one bothering the older. Though, all those aside, it gave Jaehyun amusement to know how the other could react so quickly, he just chuckled when it finally ended.

“Fine, you caught me, I was staring at you,” the male blurted out. Sicheng felt a blush creep up to him at this, he was quick to holding his pink tinted cheeks in a matter of a few seconds, trying to rub them off. That was definitely a cute view for Jaehyun, that's for sure.

“What time is it?”

He tried to change the subject, how cuter can you get?

“Currently 6:13 am, and did you just change the subject?”

“N-No!”

‘Dear God, Sicheng's becoming a tsundere! Stop it, me!’ the younger boy thought to himself. Sicheng was sure to facepalm himself for the sudden reaction he let out so easily, he suddenly felt vulnerable. How was he supposed to handle all 4 boys in one day? But he didn't want to dare disssapoint them anyway.

Sicheng was then snapped back to reality when felt warm hands on his face, his blush went from a shade pink to another shade darker. He saw Jaehyun cupping his face in front of him, “I missed doing thissss, you stopped me from doing so when we turned into teens,” the older pouted which made Sicheng let out a small giggle, yet let the male continue with playing with his cheeks.

“That's only because I started to kinda dislike skin ship, I'm sure you're completely aware of that too, since we basically discovered that together, didn't we?” Sicheng asked as the other layed back on the grass but this time, beside the younger.

“Change of topic; Who do you like the most amongst us?” the curiosity became the reason of this question, Sicheng gulped at this. “W-Well— I can't choose fully till I've gone through it with all of you, right?” the male made random gestures as he was sent into panic mode.

Jaehyun would admit, he was kinda dissapointed, he's been with Sicheng ever since and this is how it would turn out? The Korean male already thought he was at an advantage already,,, guess he was wrong.

But for now, if this is how it was going to be, he'd rather enjoy spending his time with the younger, and probably try to change his mind from thinking about the others and like he mentioned earlier, which was to concentrate on him.

Tempted to do so, Jaehyun also decided to go for it, to release the clingy side of him that he lost after Sicheng expressed his distaste for skinship. Nothing will stop him now, he just wanted his moment and he would definitely bring the best out of it.

So he indeed wrapped an arm around the younger as he layed his head on the boy's shoulder. “Jae? W-Wha—” Sicheng fiddled with his fingers in embarrassment as he couldn't move, “Can we just stay like this for a while, please?”

The Chinese boy was sure to know he couldn't resist this, he just nodded in defeat, slowly bringing his free hand to stroke the older's hair. “I missed these moments, don't you?”

Honestly, this made Sicheng think. He actually did miss the contact he had with Jaehyun, he guessed that it's been so long since they were quiet and peaceful like this, sticking together without any boundaries.

There were just some walls that Jaehyun just had to break for this to happen once again and it was definitely successful.
