Pouting, Lydia sat on the ground looking on her bleeding foot, she was probably never going to get away from here at least, not if she had to walk herself... Maybe if she had some shoes it might bring her chances up a bit but not by much. Lydia didn't notice Lithon before he picked her up, Lydia blushed slightly from being embarrassed. No man had ever held her like this! Not even her fiancée! "Let go of me! Let go of me." she uttered while she struggled in his arms. She didn't want to be in his surprisingly strong and warm arms... I-it wasn't like she noticed that! I-it was just a fact that he had stronger arms than she had expected, but of course, she wasn't going to tell him that.
They got inside and he placed her on the counter, Lydia looked at him with a displeased expression. But right now nothing was pleasing, she wanted to go back home and not stay at an old castle with a dragon who she didn't even know the name of. Surely he had to know her name as she was a princess and not just a village girl... But truth to be told, she would wish at times that she just was a normal village girl.
Lydia looked on him as he tried to take care of her foot, she had no idea what to do. She wasn't a doctor just a princess. Lydia winced as he tried to clean her foot, he was doing clumsy work and it hurt as he tried to help. She slightly pulled her foot to her and looked upon him unhappy. "Don't touch me..." she mumbled lowed. She still didn't like the fact that he had kidnapped her, and why had he? W-was he going to eat her!? That would be horrible! Lydia pulled her foot closer to her and looked away, her foot was still bleeding but she didn't care about that as he could bite her head off any minute.
She was tired from the confusing, frustrating and scary moment. Her eyes-lids felt heavy and her eyes felt warm, she wanted to fall asleep on her own bed and squeeze a book against her chest as comfort. But she didn't even have a book on her, she had lost it. Lydia hadn't realized why he had grabbed the half of the tree and probably wouldn't believe him even if he told her why. Lydia lowered her head and buried into her knees as she held her legs against her... She wanted to go home. She was scared and tired. Lydia had a sadder expression than angry as she tried to hide her face in her knees.
Lithon wasn't surprised when she pulled her foot away and he also wasn't surprised that she looked sad. After all, a "dragon" had just kidnapped her, brought her to his house, turned into a human and then he couldn't even fix her foot. She was probably terrified and thought that he was going to eat her. As she sat with her head in her knees, Lithon was scared that she was going to cry.
Noticing that her foot was still bleeding he quickly made sure that there was no dirt in it and clumsily wrapped it in a bandage. Lydia didn't want him to touch her anymore, couldn't he just leave her alone? The bandage was half on and half hanging off her foot... But it wasn't easy to put a bandage on someone's foot when they tried to pull away at even the slightest touch. Lydia held her head against her knees, she didn't even want to look at him! Couldn't he just leave her alone? Lydia held a tight hold around her knees, squeezing them a bit.
Suddenly, before she could move away again, Lithon picked her up again and headed up the stairs into the most elegant (and cleanest) room in the castle. Lydia didn't even struggle, she was too tired and struggling was hopeless. She was kidnapped, she was far far away from what she knew as home, her foot was hurting, she had lost all her books, she had lost all she cared about and known. The walls of the room were painted with Lithon's family coat of arms. Not that anyone would recognize it anymore. There was a huge bed in the middle of the room. The Bed was comfy and soft but it did not have the silks that he had seen in the princesses own bedroom. Lydia curled together and in silence and didn't move.
After he lay the princess down on the bed he sighed slightly. He knew that this was a stressful day for her and it was his fault. He slowly ran his fingers through her hair but she moved her head away from him. She didn't want a stranger to caress her head like that... She didn't want anybody to touch her like that... It was uncomfortably nice. "Don't worry. I won't harm you." Lithon tried to make himself sound as gentle as possible. He didn't expect her to believe him but he couldn't just leave without saying anything.
Then he made his way towards the door. Before he left he turned to look at the princess. He didn't know her name. All humans were of the same rank compared to him why should he learn some of their names and not others? "My name is Lithon, Princess." was his last words before he closed the door.
When he was gone Lydia felt something warm roll down her cheeks, tears were running silently down from her eyes. They were pouring out of her eyes, she buried her head into the bed. She couldn't describe how scared she was, she couldn't even speak of how tired she was. She was so exhausted. Crying for some time she started to fall asleep, deeply. With her eyes closed and her body finally resting she slept heavily but she looked peaceful and calm as she slept there on the bed just as she had done back at her castle. She no longer had her books but at least she had her dreams.
Lithon could hear when she went to sleep. Dragons have acute senses after all. He didn't know what to do... Before he did anything else he went down to the place where he had placed the book. Turns out he didn't want it to get ruined after all. Picking it up he brought it inside and placed it on the table beside the front door. If she tried to run away at least she would find her book before she went.
Eventually, he decided to visit his own personal library. He hadn't been in it since his little sister was around. It was her favorite place. She too liked fairy-tales. Probably because she had only partly inherited the dragon blood. He'd never really looked at the books. The only books that he was interested in were ones of fact, not fiction. and that was in a completely different part of the castle.
Entering the library he stopped. It was really dusty. But he went over to where he had always seen his sister. There weren't as many books as the princess had in her room but there were a few. He himself didn't really like fairy-tales. The first time he had ever opened one of those types of books he saw a man in armor put a sword through a dragon's heart. He's never gone near those books again.
Something caught his eye. It was a still open book. Most likely left there by his sister on the day she... Was taken. Picking it up and closing it (the page that it had been open at was clearly marked by the difference in color because of the dust) he recognized the purple cover of the book. It was her favorite. She always had it with her. Slamming the book back on the table, he knocked other books on top of it. He didn't want to remove it from the room but he also didn't want the princess to find it if she decided to go wandering.
Quickly leaving the library he went towards the kitchen to make food for himself and his... "guest". If there was something he was good at. it was cooking. And accidentally making people terrified of him....
