4 : As Crazy As It Is

Richard's POV

Life in the palace is a death wish. It's more like committing suicide and yet you have no idea what you're doing.

People think that being a royal,you can have anything,yes,you can have anything but you'll always be lonely.

I'm in my room,just laying there on my bed, looking at the ceiling, remembering my life as a kid when I had friends, when I had a friend.

This friend of mine was actually a part of me. She was my ride or die. I couldn't eat if she wasn't gonna play with me and man,that was cool because I say I want her and I get her. But now I can't get her,hell,I don't want her.

My friendship with Zelena was awesome as a kid,so is our enemity as adults.

As a king,you need a queen to rule alongside with you.My mother was a princess from Russia and they were sworn enemies but it was the marriage between my father and mother that brought peace between the two kingdoms.

That's what I thought marriage was all about. If a king married, he's marrying for peace.So, obviously,I'll marry a princess from another kingdom. I've always wanted that. Marrying another lady from another place.Whoa! That's the life. But I'm still too little to get married. I'm just 19 and I wanna enjoy life.

So why the heck is the queen talking about marriage.?

I was summoned by the queen to her Chambers. And whenever she summons me,it's because she's made a decision.

"Evening to you,your majesty" I greeted as I sat on the bed.

"My son, it's nice seeing you today after school. As you know,I've called you to discuss on the wonderful life changing experience you'll go through weeks from now.

"Am I being coronated a little bit earlier than I thought?" Man,I'm not yet ready to be crowned the king. I have lots of girls to explore,lot of adventures,lots of parties to go to and all this will change when I become the  king.

"No,you aren't being coronated"

Phew!!that was close. Thank God I'm not. It'll be bye bye pretty girls.

"You're getting married"

What the ultimate fuck!!!!!!!! Did I hear well or is my conscience playing with me again.

I wish honey,but this was not me. It's your mother,the queen that uttered those words.Ooohhh, you're getting married!!!!

Shut up!! I can't get married! Who'll I get married to? Come on,this is worst than getting coronated.Ugh!!!! I really hate this.

"Married?Why am I getting married now? I'm not ready for that. You can't just wake up one morning and decide I'm getting married. Hell,it's not your decision to make!!"

"Indeed it is. I am your mother,the queen mother,and I have every right to decide what's good for this kingdom"

"No,you don't,my life isn't the kingdom that you decide what you want to do with it!ok,rule your kingdom, don't rule my life!!"

"Dearest,I'm not ruling your life,I'm just doing what I know would be best both for you and the kingdom". You'll be coronated in three months, Richard,you need a queen, it'll make our kingdom stronger for our enemies to infiltrate"

"So,what then? You just picked some random girl from another kingdom to be my queen?"

"No!" She yelled across the room. Wait,it's not from another kingdom? Then where? That's when she mellowed her voice.

"She's from this kingdom,your wife is in this kingdom"

Someone should pinch me or rather stab me right now!!! This woman really wants to send me to an early grave. My future wife is from this kingdom? Hell,no! She'll know everything about me. No no no!!!
