Chapter 6
Donovan Turner’s POV (Tamra’s Father)
It has been seven months since I’ve seen my ungrateful daughter. She was ungrateful, selfish, spoiled, and a bitch for running out on her mother and me. Just because we told her to marry someone else who wasn’t her mate wasn’t that much of a sacrifice. There is nothing special about a mate. She was better off marrying Jayden.
There was a knock that sounded on my study door that brought me out of my thoughts.
“Come in!” I yelled harshly.
The door opened and in walked Taylor, my beta.
“What do you want Taylor?”
“You have a message, Alpha,” Taylor said walking into my study and towards my desk as he held out an envelope.
I stayed seated in my chair that was behind my desk. When Taylor was close enough I grabbed the envelope from him, “You are dismissed Taylor.”
He bowed respectfully and left the room.
I opened the envelope and looked at words, trying to decipher who sent this to me. The letter read:
Alpha Turner,
There is word that Alpha Matthews from the Clear Waters Pack has found his mate. I have heard the description of his mate and I believe that it matches your daughter to a “T.” I have not seen his mate yet to confirm or deny if it is truly her, but I will be willing to make a deal with you, if you wanted me to make an accurate identification, then there will most definitely be something in this task for the both of us. I am much closer to her than you believe and don’t forget that I have seen your beautiful daughter on the many occasions that I have visited your pack. If you wish for me to identify her then give me a call, you know the number.

That son of a bitch! I cannot believe he is trying to pull a fast one on me. I have known this man for far too long and to know that deep down he is trying to claim her as his mate when she is already promised to someone else. And how dare her to think that she can get away with running away from me! If it is her, and I have no doubt that it is, then she will be coming home and mating with Jayden. She has no choice and I will see sure to that, I thought.
My blood turned cold when I thought of him touching her, even though he did not say that he wanted to mate her it was there hidden within the message. He may have thought that he was smart to never mention it, but he won’t live once he brings her back to me. If she was not pure on her wedding night then the contract that was made will not hold any value and I will not get her power that was rightfully mine!!! I growled at the thought.
I reached for the phone and dialed the number that has been burned into my mind for as long as I could remember.
It rang two times before the guy on the other end picked up.
“Alpha Turner, what a nice surprise to hear from you so soon,” J.B. said happily.
“Cut the crap, what kind of deal do you want to make?” I asked cutting to the chase.
