Lyric placed a huge pile of finished paper works on top of her small office table that was assigned from her strict boss, Eudene, creating a loud thump from her desk. She brushed her straight brown hair to her ear and heavily sighed. She could imagine herself that she had a bad case of black circles and an eye bag forming under her brown eyes that she could actually passed as a 30-year-old woman than a 22. She decided not to work overnight this day, a nice rest is what she really needed right now and maybe also a cup of hot gas-station coffee around the town, she smiled at the thought of it.

"Hey Lyric! Wanna join and go clubbing with us?" The guy said with a bunch of other co-workers at his side.

"I can't, sorry but thank you for inviting me," Lyric replied with a small smile.

"Oh...okay, but if you change your mind, you can catch up with us, okay? Bye!" And her co-workers proceeded to the exit while laughing their heads off enjoying their time.

Lyric isn't your party person.

What Lyric hates the most is clubbing, she hates bumping with a bunch of drunk people who she didn't know, no, scratch that, she HATES everything that involves with crowds, worse if the crowds are a bunch of drunks who do stupid things than fixing their damn life. It makes her lose hope on humanity.

Looking at the clock, it was already 10:00 in the evening. She swiftly picked up her things and grabbed her purse.

As she walked outside the door of a newly built building, she felt the icy cold wind sticking up to her skin giving her the chills to her whole body.

She rubbed her two hands to warm it up in the use of friction and put both of her hands to her small framed face. She felt the slight warm radiating and felt a bit relaxed.

Lyric didn't expect that the weather would be freezing cold today, she wished she had brought her coat. She waited for a taxi cab to pass by, but no taxi's were coming by at that area.

How could this day be even worse for her, she waited for a couple of minutes and now was shaking from the cold. She clenched her jaw and hugged her own body to bear it.

She decided to walk to her home just by walking, she wasn't so far in going to her home. But it would be still so tiring considering she just finished her stressy work and add the weather today.

She just walked, walked and walked until she finally saw her house in a short distance, the living room was still lit up, she could see it from the windows. Her feet felt numb from the walk because she wore a 3 inch heels on the way to her home. Talk about how the heels are a pain in the ass.

She's now already in front of her small gloomy house. It was like nobody ever lived in it. White paint on the cemented walls are fading, uncut long pale green grass, dust and trashes. She could hear the television on, with it's loud noise.

She just rolled her eyes because she knew this is what happens everyday in her life.

Lyric turned the rusty door knob and opened it. There she saw her father who was lousily sitting in the sofa with a beer in his hand. Bottles of beers were every where at his side, she cringed her nose from the bad stench of it. She was right...

He saw him mumbling and hugging a framed picture of her mom when they were still a perfect family together, when they had camping together when she was still 10 years old. It was pretty obvious he was sobbing to it. She balled her fist and tried to settle her nerves.

"Can you do anything besides crying dad!?" She yelled at him.

Her dad stopped mumbling and looked at her dumbfounded.
