She ran away, ran away so far away from her home. She wanted to run until she burst, until she dies, she wanted to scream to the whole world. Why is her whole life a lie? Why can't she be happy for once in her lifetime? The world is so unfair and cruel.
She just ran, and tripped a couple of times in the sidewalk. Lyric fought pass the strangers who were staring at her, she really didn't care.
And went to a bay, where the blue water reflected the night sky. Gleaming with the stars and sparkling as lights of the city reflected it. It was her favorite place to calm her nerves, and even for a couple of minutes, she could forget everything and just look at waves dancing. Letting her mind wonder to a dozen of daydreams.
Lyric inhaled deeply and breathe out. Today at the bay, was calm. It was like a calm after the storm. So when will the storm comeback? She thought. She sat near the waves and let it touch her feet, tickling her sore sole. The water was so cold, it took her breathe away.
Even the wind is freezing cold. The bay was completely empty, it was just her and her problems. Since it's already really late at night, she doesn't have a clue where to go or even what to do.
Now where is she going to stay?
Now that she hasn't have a place that she used to call home?
Lyric grabbed her phone and typed a message to Alexander, her 2 year boyfriend. She remembered how they met at a mall since they were friends with her best friend, Jennifer.
"Hey babe, I'm going to your apartment. A problem came up. I hope it's okay," And she clicked the send button and put her phone back in to her bag.
She tried to fix herself by brushing her hair using her hands but it failed miserably. She wiped her tears before hailing a taxi that passed by. She entered and told the address.
Lyric played a song from her phone, and put her headphones in her ear. She couldn't believe how her dad lied to her for seven years.
I killed your mom
I was the one who cut the brakes! I killed her! I failed being a dad to you and your mom! I killed her!
The memories was still so fresh, so vivid. All her rage in life, her fears, doubts and the fear of being alone in this world. A warm liquid streamed down in her face, all her life she was strong and believed nothing could affect her, that she was bulletproof. But she guess, she's just human after all.
She imagined herself being a player of some part of a video game, but instead of playing a popular game like walking dead, dota, slender man, league of legends and other popular games today, she played the unpopular game called life.
She thought she has passed the boss stage, yet she still hasn't. And she realized the game "life". Is just a very cruel game and you can't just replay if you lose, it will just continue and beat you up, until your tired. Life is truly ceaseless in giving pain. Pain that they say would help you grow but too much of it could kill you.
"Ma'am we're here," The taxi driver said.
Lyric gave him the pay and went out in the car.
"I'm sure everything will be okay Ma'am," The driver said and continued to drive. Lyric find it a bit weird that the driver is encouraging her even if he barely knows her, but she was a bit thankful that some one tried to comfort her.
There she saw the apartment of her boyfriend, his room was still lit up. That means he's awake, but he hasn't replied yet.
She went and tried to open the door of his apartment. The door wasn't locked.
