Part V — "Halle V" ( "HalloVeen" )
The "Nicca Niche" was this really musty chamber with only one dim light bulb for lighting... no windows. There seemed to be this other door at the opposite side of the chamber. I didn't see a lot of it — I didn't want to step inside the chamber. However, something wasn't right.
"Get in," sneered Grit macabrely. I looked at the floor of the chamber distastefully.
"Get In!" snapped Grit loudly, the sound echoing through the seeming-empty dark, abandoned hallway.
It seems that if I were to make a run for it, I probably won't even need to be caught by Grit in order to be stopped. I didn't even know the way of getting out of here, for starters.
I stepped inside. The dim light seemed to be from everywhere and nowhere at the same time. The chamber had an L-shape, so I wasn't able to see some of it from here. Also, the air was very malodorous and everything was tinted red and there was this toxic substance that was smeared on everything. Grit was right behind me; I could feel her breathing on me.
There were some mutilated chairs here and there, and a disfigured blackboard seemed to say "Today's quest is a bit harder, find value of 1+1" However, there was nobody else in sight.
"Go on, see what's in store for you over there," whispered Grit. Shakingly, I trudged forward and scanned the rest of the chamber... and what stood before me petrified!
***
At first, I didn't really see what was in front of me. Then... it hit me... In front of me seemed to be infected, mutilated mentally-confused people. The more I looked at it, the more terrified I got. There were either five or six or seven people in front of me... their physical features were so grotesque and distorted I could barely fathom.
I recently received news that in the future, what I accounted would be published... I learnt before (the hard way) that usually when I say anything about "special-needs" people, I would get blamed and condemned.
To sum it up, let's just say that there's one set of conjoined triplets (my favourite type of connection: the three-headed-monster, joined at the neck), two sets of conjoined twins (connection is a bit odd) and some other messed-up conjoined people who have mouths instead of eyes...
I even saw someone whose head had another head that grew on top of it, and a piece of flesh grew on top of that head. The most shuddering thing of all was the amount of mouths present — most of these ...people... didn't have eyes, it seems; they have mouths at the place where they should have eyes.
"Um... what's this?" I grimaced as one of them conjoined set tried to spit, but fell down at the attempt.
"Has, Has, Has," Grit spoke, "Meet your new inmates from now on >:) "
"Whaaa???"
"Yes. Your— OOPS! No, I meant classmates, my guy! classMates!" Did Grit just say "my guy"?!
"..."
"Don't just stand there, do something, do the chores I told you to do, you cretin!"
"Wha?"
"Oh!" Grit squinted, "Oops! I seemed to have confused you with one of your new classmates :-) "
I know it's physically possible to say an emoji out loud... but for some reason, Grit managed to do just that.
"So..." I said, "Whaddya want me to do...?"
