Maya said as she came into the kitchen where Josh was sitting on the counter scribblingin a hardback journal
Maya- What are you doing in here anyways
Josh- Trying to avoid people
He answered
Maya- Because you don't want to explain to people why you dropped out of NYU
Maya asked bluntly
Josh- Among other things
Josh replied removing his reading glasses
Josh- You're being entirely too nosey Maya
Maya- Since when do you care if I'm nosy
She responded
Maya- We're always been able to talk to each other you're never cared if I've asked you stuff before what has gotten into you
Josh looked at her over over the top of his book
Josh- Don't feel much like talking
He answered
Maya scoffed
Maya- That's hardly like you I've come to every Christmas party since I was old enough to remember and you always have something to say
Josh- Maya I've just worked a very long shift at Matthews and sons The Christmas Eve shift at that last customer was particularly nasry so excuse me if I don't feel very special tonight
