Emily's POV

"Because I am God!" Ha, ha, ha, ha!

"Oh, My God! It's Sonic.exe! Run, run, run!

— You will not be able to escape!

Those were the last words I heard before I passed out for a few minutes. When I opened my eyes, we were no longer on a hill, but in the middle of a road that was ... God knows where... What kind of godforsaken place is this?

We stood on the most ordinary forest path, while darkness surrounded us on all sides. In the literal sense of the word! Only swirling dark purple clouds and zigzags of lightning.

Opposite us stood the sonic, suddenly transformed into a demon. His words were clear now. We are once again convinced that not only with Addison's Apartments, but with all this city, something is wrong. He was truly cursed. And we once again had to face the consequences of this curse.

- Welcome to the death zone. he grinned, revealing sharp, bloody teeth. His black eyes with red pupils blinked. Reflexively, I stepped behind the nearest man, who turned out to be Sally. As in many situations before, he looked the calmest. He spread his arms wide, covering me and the trembling Larry. He was a medium, of course, but not yet strong enough to fight such monsters. The girl looked scared, too, and clung to me.

- Let's play hide and seek!

"Run!" Sally shouted, and we ran away from the monster, clutching each other's hands.

My feet slid on the wet grass, my heavy clothes made it difficult to move quickly, and this thing, judging by my senses, was quickly catching up with us. He didn't even run. Practically flying over the ground.

I did my best. I can run longer and faster than a normal human, but against such a monster ... even I can't stand it.

I squeezed my eyes shut, feeling his clawed hand reach out and grab my neck. His temples were pounding. His throat was dry. Tears stung her eyes. Are we just going to die? I don't want to die! I just recently started a new life with my friends! We went through so many adventures together and always survived! Would this be the last time?!

"Stop, demon! - there was a familiar male cry ahead of us and we immediately stopped, skidding on the wet grass. I opened my eyes, slowly looking up. What the...? That's... that strange man we've seen a lot before...

A man with an albino appearance and a black suit. He still looks a lot like my friend Jenny.

"Mr. Blue Dee?" Sally and I said it at the same time, breathing hard from the run. Larry was too shaky to say anything, and Sally just blinked her green eyes in surprise. It's not like they've met before.

— You can't save them forever!" - roared stopped behind us demonic sonic. I closed my eyes again, fighting the urge to turn around. No way!

- Really? I think I can save them right now. the albino grinned and closed his ruby eyes. - Aroga Odales Ajes Oinomed! Spell Execution! he shouted in a language we didn't know.

When we looked back, Sonic was gone. He disappeared in a purple flash.

"Be careful when you get back to the city. he said it calmly, as if nothing had happened.

"Wait a second!" Sally waved as he stepped forward. For the first time in a long time, he spoke fully. It seems that all this also strongly bothered him. "Mr. blue Dee, you know magic, and you keep telling us to be careful in this town. Do you know what we don't know? his voice trembled and his fingers tightened on mine. I nodded in agreement, looking up at the white-haired man from the wet fringe that covered my face.
