Rebecca's pov
"Girls, are you ready?" I called out to Elena and Daniella. It was almost time for school, and I had to drop them off. Emeliano usually took care of that whenever he was on his way to work but since he was now on a business trip, I took over that duty.
But he should be arriving tomorrow.
"Yes Mom We are", my seven year old daughters responded in unison while grabbing their bags.
We climbed into the car and in no time, I pulled over in front of their school. "Goodbye Mom.", the girls said while kissing the both of my cheeks, jumping down from the car. "Goodbye Girls. Be good to the teachers, okay?" I yelled after them.
They both turned to give me silly looks.
After dropping them off, I headed towards my restaurant when my dearest husband decided to ring me. "Hey Sweetheart, how are you my love?"
"Look who suddenly decided to be extraordinarily cheesy this morning." I said, smiling to myself.
"I have the right to be... I miss my wife and daughters" he said, and I could just tell that he was smiling.
"Aww, we are also waiting for you eagerly" I said.
"Its just too much. I can't wait till tomorrow. I think I should return today." He said.
"Nah, you will finish your work and only then, will you come back. It's just a day Emeliano. You will be back by tomorrow."
"Alright my love... I'll wait... I love you so much."
"I love you too darling and I have already reached the restaurant so I will talk to you later?" I asked, turning off the engine.
"Yeah. I also have a meeting to attend, so bye my love."
"Bye baby."
Just as I entered the restaurant, I had a strange urge to vomit just by smelling the food. I couldn't control myself so I went straight to the rest room and emptied all the contents while my assistant Julie was holding my hair back.
"Again? I suggest you go see a doctor because from the past week you have been really sick", she said looking concerned.
"Can you please make an appointment for me?"I asked her. She nodded then, went back.
After all the check-up and stuff, I was waiting outside when a nurse called me to meet the doctor
"Hello Mrs Liano. I am Dr. Sarah Williams. I am the one who analysed your reports."
