- prologue -

The scene was a recipe for disaster.

Hot, panted breathes echoed between the two sweat slick bodies. Chocolate brown hands slid gracefully, almost lovingly though knotted blonde hair. Deep brown eyes gazed into soft blue.

The musky smell of sweat and sex spilled through the cheap motel room. The double bed placed against the wall was messed beyond belief. Pillows were thrown about and the blankets were tossed to the floor. A single, almost sheer sheet was all that remained with the two occupants.

Erika Addams sighed gently, tracing the soft white skin of her partner. Their heaving chests were pressed together, and the two were cuddled close in a forbidden hold.

Erika stared down, enchanted by the soothing softness of her skin and the bright, kiss bruised, pink of her lips. Not even five minutes ago, they had been closer together then Erika had ever been with anyone.

The other girl heaved herself up, glaring down at the girl she'd previously been close to. Her blue eyes, once so welcoming and warm, seemed cold and threatening.

"No one can know about this, do you understand?" Her soft, slightly nasally voice demanded.

Erika closed her eyes, trying to hide her deep sadness at the command. It was to be expected, it was understandable. In fact, if her partner had not been the one to demand it, Erika herself probably would've been. It had been a one time thing. They were just testing the waters.

"Erika? Do you understand how much this means to me? Mentioning this could destroy everything I've worked for. Everything you've worked for."

Erika opened her eyes, staring back into the blue. "I understand. It'll be like this never happened." She inhaled harshly, preparing herself for what she was about to say.

"This was just a big mistake."
