Snow, Storm, and Stones

(Chapter 3) Spells and Obedience

Clay P.O.V.

Earlier today Jestro has left, the two of us has been chatting a lot, if there's one person in this world I'd trust with my life it is Jestro.

I felt tired that night, so I slept. Later I woke up as the alarm went off I was wandering what it was. So, in a split of second I ran to the control room to see that everyone was already there.

"What's the matter, Ava?" Aaron asked, a bit impatient. I understand his impatience, though. We haven't had any mission since the colossus was destroyed, so yeah, it was nice to finally battle. But, then I realized I didn't want to battle, because my mother was probably there.

"Monstrox is back, and Ruina too. They are attacking several villages," Ava said. The mention of my mother made me cringe a bit. I didn't have any envy at all to battle her, oh! How I missed her. I wish she was here with me. "Aaron, you go to the battle and lead it. I'll stay here," I told them. Aaron slowly revealed a surprised look then asked "you won't come, but why?" I sighed as I tried to answer, then I realized I just had to ran off. So, yeah, that's what I did, I ran off to my bedroom and didn't come out at all, I looked at the window as I saw Macy, Aaron, Axl, and Lance, leave.

Well, attacking a few villages was easy, until those NEXO Losers arrived. But, wait a second, where's my son? I guess he must haven't wanted to battle me. I understand him, myself I don't want to battle him as well. But, if Clay isn't here, he must in the Fortrex. Yet, again, he maybe is alone, I'll check. If Clay is indeed alone the plan would complete easily, if not, nice to have some battle.

Clay was indeed alone in his room, and never bothered to come out. He was thinking about his mother, he missed her a lot. Every time Merlok, Ava, and Robin tried to come in, they were blasted out with magic, so they gave up and let Clay alone.

Clay was looking at the ceiling, wandering how his life would've been if his mom was still near him. Sure, he could've been evil like her, but if it wasn't the case if he was still a knight, he missed his mom. "Oh! Mother if only you knew how much you missed me. I wander when I am ever gone see you, and be with you. Oh! Mother where are you?" He said as he stared at an old photo of him and his mom, in those days. "Oh! Clay I'm just here right behind you," Clay heard someone say that. He turned to see the one and only, Ruina Stoneheart, or his mother standing right behind him. "Mother, how did you come here? Where do you come from? And especially, why in the world are you here?" he asked, Ruina just smirked. Then she said, "Oh, Clay, you're such a curious little, must've gotten that from your father," her last statement shocked Clay. A lot in fact.

"My father? But where is he? And who is he, by the way?" "I'll tell you, but only if you join me, will you?" no matter how much Clay wanted to be with his family he would never help Monstrox. So, his answer was simple "sorry, mom, but I'll never join you" Ruina was disappointed, but she had a plan in case Clay would say that. She raised her wand then threw a spell so fast Clay couldn't dodge it, he got hit. Then as soon as he recovered from that, his mom asked him again one last time "Mal Clay Mourighnton, will join my side?" Clay tried to say 'no' as usual. But, this time he said "yes, with pleasure", Ruina was happy, her plan had worked. Then they went to Monstrox's HQ.
