this universe is cruel
deny this and you're a fool
to be born a boy
yet be a girl
as if it's one big ploy
life would be easier
if I just were cis
think of all the people
I would kiss
can never picture so much bliss
didn't have a girlhood
to reminisce
being trans is fine
but I still want a redesign
days spent imagining
of reincarnation happening
find it really challenging
accepting the nature of reality
always feeling like a wannabe
a half baked version
of what I aspire to be
I could only ever pass
with 85% accuracy
but even that's a-okay
passing isn't real anyway
only in the mind
are such assumptions made
of what makes up femininity
as determined by society
this is who I am
don't like it
I don't give a damn
