Today was the day. The day the Fellowship started off on their quest. A Fellowship, like I had always dreamed of.

And I was their leader.

Ada soon began the traditional meeting speech/monologue. I let my mind wander, for I knew what he was saying. He had left a copy of it on my bed. Why he was in my room, Eru only knows...

I felt a slight motion beside me, and noticed that Beetle was climbing out of the bag I always had around my shoulder. Hans and Alfie quickly followed. I made no action to get them back. I couldn't be going off on a tiny dragon chase, not when I was about to do my speech.

The speech. Somehow, I had almost forgotten. I hurriedly snapped back to attention, running it over one more time in my head.

Ada motioned for me to speak. I can't mess up now, I told myself. Not today, of all days.

Rainbow flew down from her perch on a nearby tree, landing on her usual place on my shoulder. I smiled, suddenly feeling a rush of confidence. I can always count on Rainbow to do things like this.

"Fellowship members, I thank you once again for electing me as your leader. I promise I will never let you down" I started. "We were brought together by a common hatred, but even more important is the strong friendship that has already begun to form. As one, we will rid the world of its greatest evils! Now, I ask, who is ready for our quest?" Several cheers erupted from the various people there. I sat back down in relief. Sure, the speech wasn't the best, but I didn't become leader for speeches. Maybe I could show my sister that I was as mature as she was.

"Glad that's over" I murmured to Rainbow. Now, I could focus on the quest ahead. And no matter what Arwen might tell you, I was ready. There was nothing that could stand in my way.

You know, except for being dive-bombed by my tiny dragons.

A/N: Sorry if this wasn't the best. My other chapter got deleted. If anyone can find a copy of it...
