Plum 2: You're not alone

Haruhi's POV

I smirked as I ran away from the villagers that always pestered me and my brother. As I held Naruto tight with an iron grip, we trudged forward, completely escaping the rocks and kunais that are threw towards us. After all the running, we stopped at the top of the Hokage mountain, breathing heavily as we tried to catch our breaths, even though our bodies are littered with bruise and cuts,Naruto's having much more damage. He was on the verge of tears but I was looking very fine. I might even look like I'm amused if you look at me closely.

"Too much for learning a jutsu in a night and stealing a scroll eh?" I chuckled at my non-existent joke then looked at Naruto who's already sitting beside me. He placed his head on my chest then hugged me tight, enough for me to feel his warmth. I was shocked to say the least but I hugged back.

"H-how?" He asked. Now that was a question with many answers, but I clearly knew what's up.

"I guess I just have to. I need to protect you even if it means hiding everything." I said as I buried my head in his fluffy hair. ' or not feeling anything at all ' I thought as my eyes turned dull, even a doll's eye would envy it. He looked at me again, and once again shocked as he saw my dead eyes. He stuttered so much that I couldn't even form a word. I just chuckled humorlessly.

"Everytime that you're sound asleep, I trained to be immune to all of what they are doing to us." I smiled bitterly as I looked at the darkening sky with my hooded eyes. After a while, I got up from my sitting position then held Naruto by the hand as it started to rain. My hair covered my eyes even more as the rain drops never seized to fall. I can feel Naruto's worried gaze at the back of my head, I just shrugged it off then unlocked our apartment. I quickly commanded him to change as I also did so, and after that, cooking instant ramen for the both of us. He quietly sat in front of me then ate what I cooked.

"Hey" I opened up.

"I'm sorry you have to deal with this. I promise I'll always be here okay?" I smiled as I took his hand on mine. But I was slightly surprised when he took it away, glaring at me.

"I can't have you always protecting me nee-chan. How can I be hokage if I always depend on you? From now on I'll train so I get stronger for you Haru-nee-chan!!" He said, fist bumping with the air. I smiled fondly as I washed the dishes then went to sleep beside him.

"Oi. Wake up sleepy pants." I said as I threw him on my shoulders. He squealed then punched my back so many times. It didn't faze me though, even if it did, I hid it from him. He looked up and saw that it was me who was carrying him that made him blush.

"Let me down Haruuuuuuuuuuuuuu" he squirmed into my grip as I loosened it ever so slightly.

"Tch. You better start quickly, before I carry you to the meeting area naked" I warned with a little smirk as he visibly paled. Last time I did this was when he was supposed to confess to Sakura but it was my birthday. I had a good laugh at that. I chuckled softly as I got ready myself. I just left a note at the table as I went to the training grounds. I saw Sakura there, alone, and maybe thinking deeply. I approached her as I put my hands in my pocket. *Sigh* I'm so not ready to be a girl yet, I mean I know that they have periods and all that but, I just got reincarnated 3 years ago, how can I exactly adjust?

I went to her and sat by her side as she stared at the leaves. She looked at me with a blush then smiled a little as she focused her attention to the horizon. I smirked a little then moved slightly to her front, she looked at me with a questioning gaze as I offered her my comb that I suddenly got out of nowhere.
