Origami

  I folded the paper delicately, my fingers pressing down on the crease.

  A knock at my door.

  I hid the paper from sight.

  "Come in!" I choked out.

  "Hi, Tom!" Edd smiled in my doorway, "Tord, Matt, and I are going to the store. Do you want to come?"

  I thought for a moment. My legs ached from sitting still for so long, but my project was almost done. And if Tord was leaving with Edd and Matt, no one would see me put my present at his door. But I'm the only one home, so I'd be the suspect-

  "Tom?"

  "Huh? Oh, uh, sure! I need to get up and move around anyway, " I smiled as I stood up.

- One time skip later -

  I quickly moved to my room. If I got it done tonight, I could put it at his door and he wouldn't know it was me.

  "Hey, Tom, wanna watch a movie with us?" Matt called.

  I never turned down Matt's offer for Movie Night. If I did, they'd know I'm up to something. Well, I'm always down to watch movies with Matt, so it's not like I'd turn down his offer anyway.

  "Always happy too, " I answered gleefully.

- Another time skip lol -

  I finally finished it. It looked so pretty. Now I just have to hope it fits him.

  I quietly opened his door after knocking, placing it on his nightstand. I got the hell out of there once the deed was done. Once I was safely in my room, I flopped onto my bed, groaning into the pillows. That was ten times more stressful than I thought it would be. And sweet Jahova, my legs ached like all hell. Next thing I know, sleep swallowed my conscience whole.

  I woke up to Edd knocking on my door. He said something, but I was too groggy to catch what he said. My tired brain focused on what looked like a colourful origami flower crown. It was so... Beautiful... Honestly, it was impressive someone had the patience to make this.

  I picked it up, admiring the craftsmanship of each blossom.

  At breakfast, I mentioned the origami flower crown and Tom tensed. Almost, like he didn't want to hear about it.

  "Honestly, I don't know where it came from, but it was one of the prettiest hand made things I've ever seen. " Tom's ears got red, and he quickly finished his breakfast so he could leave.

Sorry, this is short, but my final performance of The Jungle Book is technically today (it's 12:08) But I know it's gonna be great. My other performances have gone really well. I recently started origami, and it's really fun. I knew I needed to write something even if I have writer's block right now, so I chose origami and rolled with it.

I need to sleep :)
