Chapter 1
I Want To Scare Normal People
The police man was pacing back and forth in the interview room. Meanwhile, I watched his every move. There was something about serious men in uniforms that made them look so damn fine.
Then he stopped in his tracks, startling me. I panicked, hoping he didn't hear my dirty thoughts about him. I don't even know if he could charge me for that. But then again, maybe I would want to get arrested by this man.
"I need to know every single thing about your friend. In the finest details. That's why you are here today." He said standing in front of me. I tried to focus but the subject didn't interest me, not yet.
Don't get me wrong. I found it adorable, the ride to the police station and all, but it was 5 o'clock in the morning and my mind was still sleeping.
Being half awake, I remember having a nightmare in which the police told me they found a dead body of a boy last night and that they think I'm close to the murderer.
Which is ridiculous cause I'm only close to one person and that person wouldn't hurt a fly. That person would take a piss on the spider who would kill the fly.
"Your friend is in trouble. And there is a chance that you could prove Judy Halloween's innocence. Untill that, she's guilty." He explained. Now this was making me feel sick. Yes, I found Judy Halloween a touchy subject to talk about.
"Where do you want me to start?" I sighed deeply. This was going to be a long day.
"Start with yourself. How did you meet Judy Halloween?" He asked and sat down next to me.
I smiled knowing that Halloween must have rememberd the exact moment. I was to young to remember a thing. But I had to start somewhere, right? I looked back at the sexy officer and grinned. He looked just like a fairytale prince, I thought.
"Once upon a time-" I started before I got cut off by a purple horse that wanted to take me to Wonderland. I smiled, closing my eyes a little. I got more and more tired by the second and began to long for my bed.
"Take this seriously, Miss. Christmas!"
He practically yelled at me, waking me up.
First of all; I didn't know he could yell like that. Some people just don't look like they can yell, okay?! Second; What the hell was his problem? Cinderella needs her beauty sleep so knock it off!I gave him an angry glare with a spoon full of tiredness. He glared back. I sighed deeply, knowing I wasn't going to win in this state.
"Alright, Alright! Calm down, officer." I scowled. I was so done with him.
"Can I have some coffee first?" I asked holding my head in my hands. It literally felt too heavy for my neck at the moment.
"If you promise to tell me everything." He offered.
"Well, Judy told me to never make a promise. It gets ugly when you break them." I smiled. I liked being a smartass when I knew I couldn't be wrong.
He rolled his eyes at this and told tiny creatures in his tiny microphone to get us some coffee.
"Listen." He began. "Judy is accused of a murder on a 19 year old boy which I.D. is unknown. Carrying an I.D. of Judy Halloween in his pocket.
There are 4 witnesses, at the same time 4 people whom clame to know the truth. And they all pointed to Miss Halloween saying that she's the murderer. And no one tried to prove them wrong. Not yet. Which makes her... guilty." He explained, his voice calmer than it was before. Which made everything sound clearer."Could you enlighten me on these 4 cases?"
"Ofcourse. These cases lie in the hands of our detective. You may call him Detective or Will." He said as a man came walking into the room with our coffee. At last.
"So hot." I winked at him. He smirked, after he handing me my coffee.
"He's not our detective."
"Doesnt matter. I was talking about the coffee." Yeah right, Mary. Keep telling yourself that. I guess I just have to deal with it and accept the fact that I've landed in a candy store that doesn't allow me to taste from their sweets.
Then a creepy looking geek walked in. He wore a long coat that looked dirty in a dangerous kind of way.
"Number one; Mrs. Jones. The teacher." he read out loud. I remember Mrs. Jones, what a joke.
"Number two; Martha Hope. The little girl." I sighed deeply. This list of his was going to be the death of me.
"Number 3; Mr. Smert. The barber." Oh god. That was definitly not the name I wanted to hear. I have no idea why Halloween would want to scare him. "And finally witness number 4; The naked priest." He finished and left. What an odd man, I thought.
"Thank you, Detective Will." The officer said and closed the door. It was quiet for a while.
"Alright... I guess you want me to start with number 1?" I asked carefully after an awkward silence. It felt so awkward, the silence was stabbing me. Like looking at a dead body you may regonize, but you're not sure.
"Continue."
"Well, Judy Halloween and I are best friends, I promise you that." I began. I had to really think about what I was going to say next. Not wanting to burn my friend here.
"We've both been raised as Christians and the church taught us that you should be normal and boring and so... Religeous." I told him, feeling disgusting.
"So one day, Judy Halloween came with a great idea. She tells me; "I want to scare normal people."
