The Rings

"99"- Prologue Pt. 1

To think we are born alone in a dark place. Not knowing what could happen in the black abyss until a small light begins to shine.

In a four wall room a boy who look to be average build laying down on the cold floor.  He lied on the stone floor which brought a shiver to wake him. He blink  for a few moments and realize that he can not remember where or who he was.

The small stone room which was curved weirdly. From one side it was a wide open space that curved outward from the room. The boy then looks toward the other side to the small area of the room that was curved inward of the room.

He notice one line each going down the middle of both walls. He stood up; he wore a hoodie wrap around his waist with a belt holding up his light blue skinny leg jeans with one knife. The knees of the pants are slightly ripped. He wore a green tank top with brown bandages wrap on each of his forearms. As sudden confusion came across his face a small image appeared in his head to show him a women. Only her lower mouth, face, and neck showed her.

" Finally another one has woke up. Welcome to the rings 99. Please choose another weapon of choice." The woman than disappeared and the wall on his left side open up to reveal multiple different weapons.

99, keeping track of at least his number; only looked confused. He tried to yell but could not speak. He unwrap the hoodie and just prepared to protect himself. Tossing the hoodie aside on the ground then walk over to see what the wall had for him. He look to the bottom of the wall to see a bo staff. He saw it a good fit to keep some good distance though he may need to have something to protect his body. Seems he'll have to be versatile.  A small mirror was inside the wall as well. 99 carefully taking it up in his hand before seeing his face. His face having a smooth jawline, had no stubbly yet to see. His eyes being pure brown with hazel highlights. He saw that he must be somewhat close to teenage or adult. Placing the mirror back down before readying back with the bo staff in both hands. "Only thing is...what could I be fighting?"99 thought to himself

He look closely to see which door would open next to reveal who he is fighting first. He heard a slight whistle threw the wind and following the sound towards the ceiling. He listened closely to the tune and as he did it became louder and louder. Then as it reach its high tune note it stops.

Complete silence falls over the room. The sounds only heard is a humming of electricity through the walls and the beating of one heart. 99's heart beating slowly before the ceiling begin to open. 99 jumps back to the small inward wall before a woman fell down to the floor seeing a small vial dropping down beside her.  She doesn't look to intimidating to him but he knows that whatever this place is anything can be dangerous. The woman slowly stands up. Her dark red hair and dress matching it as well. Holding two swords on here hips.  The lady in red then turns to face 99 and stares him down. " Ah! Sorry didn't mean to scare you.  What's your number?" She ask 99.

99 gestured he can't speak and she nods in understanding.

"Why don't you crave it in the stone to tell me? He did so as she responded; "Oh, I'm 76 by the way." 76 tells 99 that. He was fascinated by the way she spoke. Her accent is elegant but humble. Her voice sounding soothing like a mother.

As 99 would like to trust her he wasn't to sure about the intention of this place and what she wants from him. More importantly what was in that vial? Who is the woman, the Lady in Blue? " Do you remember your past self?" 76 ask him. 99 look at her in horror and realize that he in fact could not remember who he was before. Only what he has learned so far and some common knowledge.

" Same here. All I know is that a lady appeared in my head and told me that I need to fight." She explains her origin to 99 as it was almost quite similar to his. Only things is she was woken up with hunger. She said, " The vial that fell with me has this liquid that keeps it down. That is what the lady in our heads told me before I fell through the floor." He thought it was strange a red liquid was in her room above his. From what he recalls he doesn't remember seeing another vial on his wall when it open. "So have you got any ideas what we are supposed to do?" 76 ask him.

99 turned towards her and shakes his head no. He only knows that a woman appears in their heads whenever. She has not appeared in a few minutes or so now. They woke up at a place called the rings and was told to take something from the weapons walls. " Did you happen to see red vials in your weapons wall before it close lad?" 76 said. 99 thought to himself, "I wonder what the red vial has in that makes her want more?" Shaking his head no again and 76 sighing. Tapping her shoulder as he begin to crave out a message onto the floor, until suddenly the outward wall open while the ceiling closed. Leaving 76 and 99 in the room together with a mystery across the room.
