Who would ever know that Hermione, the perfect and top of class student of Hogwarts and "muggle-born" turns out to be something entirely different.
It takes one day. One morning. One dwarf. A key. A letter. And a man. All to turn her world upside do...
"Hermione dear, come for lunch!" Mrs. Granger's British- accented voice called from the Kitchen.
"Comin' mother," Hermione replied from her room upstairs. A few seconds later, soft scuttling footsteps echoed through the hall and down the stairs. "Mother, have you seen my 'Hogwarts: A Historyʼ?" She asked as she arrived and sat down at the dining-room table.
Mr. Granger was already seated with an opened Muggle Newspapers in hand and coffee on the table in front of him. "Hey, father."
"Yes dear. Yesterday you were reading it in the kitchen and forgot it on the counter." Mrs. Granger took the book from the kitchen counter and handed it to Hermoine.

"Isnʼt it a first or second year book? Are you going to read it again?"
"Yes mother, once more. Itʼs pretty interesting." She replied before starting on the sandwich in front of her. "How fast the time spends, like its flying." Mr. Granger sighed.
"Yes. Itʼs Hermioneʼs fifth year at Hogwarts." Mrs. Granger pointed out.
"I'm so excited! Just like when I went for first year."
"Had you heard from your friends yet?"
"Yes, I have. They send me mails almost three times every week." She replied. Then added, "mother, I might need to go to Diagon Alley today. To buy some new robes, they are several inches short now. Plus the supplies list for this year should be here any time now."
"Of course, dear. Do you need us to go with you?" Hermione shook her head as she fingered through her book.
As if on cue, an owl flew through the open kitchen window landed on Hermioneʼs shoulder. It stuck out its leg where a letter was attached. Seeing this, Hermione closed her book and quickly untied the attachment.
"This yearʼs supplies list! Right on time!" Hermione exclaimed as she opened the letter and scanned through the list.
"Miss Hermione Grangers,
Another year has passed. We are pleased to inform you that you had once again passed another year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of this year's neccessary books and equipment. Term begins on September 1. We await your return.
Yours sincerely, Minerva McGonagall (signed) Deputy Headmistress Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry"
After she read this she took out the enclosed list and looked over it:

Uniform The quantity given are the suggested minimum requirements.
Three sets of plain work robes (black) One plain pointed hat (black) for day wear One winter cloak (black with silver fastenings) Three white blouses for girls Two grey sweaters, vests or cardigans Two charmable ties in house colours One charmable winter scarf in house colours Two pairs of skirts for girls Three pairs of white knee socks or black wool stockings for girls One set of dress robes (any colour, conservative style)
