Zoro x Male Reader

Commander

Two children, (M/N) and Zoro were running into the forest of their home island, Shimotsuki Village. The two had just finished today's lesson at the dojo. They were also friends with Kuina, the dojo's owners daughter.

The trio of them were the dojo's best students. Zoro has challenged Kuina, again. And once again got his ass handed to him. (M/N) was wrapping bandages around Zoro's right hand, were Kuina had got him with her sword.

"You should be more careful when challenging, Kuina," said (M/N) while wrapping the bandages, Zoro winced at the roughness. "Oh, sorry my bad."

"(M/N) you sadist!" Zoro complained to his friend. (M/N) payed no mind to him and instead focused on Zoro's hand.

"Your almost done, Zoro. Don't be such a baby," told (M/N) as he finished wrapping Zoro's hand.

"That's easy for you to say!" Zoro glared at him with annoyance.

"Nee, Shall I kiss it better?" (M/N) asked innocently, he pleased Zoro's hand to his face in a teasingly way.

"No thank you!" Exclaimed Zoro's as he pulled his hand out of (M/N)s grip. (M/N) laughed at the horrified face that Zoro made.

"Your so easy to tease... Zoro... I have something important to tell you," said (M/N) with a serious expression.

'Is this a confession,' the thought almost made Zoro blush.

"I'm leaving the island tomorrow," (M/N) said while staring at the ground, not willing to look Zoro in the eyes.

"What? But why so sudden? Why are you leaving?" Zoro questioned his friend. He did not want (M/N) to leave. He wouldn't allow it.

"I was only told about it yesterday. Fathers work is taking us to another island. I can't remember the name of," muttered (M/N) with disdain. He didn't want to leave but he had to.

"Can't you stay and you father just go?" Asked Zoro. (M/N) smiled sadly at him and shook his head. "I see, so this is the last time I'm going to see you... I'll make this promise to you. I will become the greatest swordsman when we meet again!"

"Haha, not if I become the greatest swordsman first!" (M/N) smirked.

Timeskip

It had been 10 years since (M/N) had seen Zoro. He was currently a Captain of the marines. He had heard about Zoro's adventures and looked forward to challenging him.

"Captain (M/N) the island nearby has requested for help, involving the invasion of pirates," said one of (M/N)s men.

"I have sent some scouts to survey the island. Have they came back?" Asked (M/N).

"Yes, the scouts have just arrived back. There is two pirate crews on the island; one is the Arlong Pirates, which is made up of fishermen, and the other is the recently formed Straw Hat Pirates.

'So Zoro's on the island? This should be fun.' thought (M/N) as he licked his lips in anticipation.

"Captain (M/N)?" a crew member muttered out nervously.

"Half of the crew will come with me to the island while the other will stay and protect this ship! That is my command as you Captain!" Shouted (M/N).

"Yes sir!" All the crew said. 'I almost feel sorry for for the pirates, the ice king is going after them,' they thought.

(M/N) went ahead of his men, ordering them to help protect the civilians and capture any pirates. One very helpful civilian pointed him to were Arlong's base was.

Once (M/N) arrived he was greeted with the sight of Zoro going up against a group of fishermen.

"Don't you think that is rather unfair," (M/N) commented, looking at the group with interest. His hand gripping his saver, ready to draw it out from his sheath.

"(M/N)," Zoro breathed out, taking in every detail of (M/N). Zoro cut down another fisherman.

"Shall we play?" (M/N) said, springing into action. Zoro and (M/N) fought brutally, back to back, working together as a team.

Eventually the whole ordeal as over and the Straw Hat Pirates and marines had one against.

"It's good to see you again, (M/N)," said Zoro. (M/N) had dismissed his crew back to the ship, taking the fishermen with them.

"I would say the same thing except... a pirate! Really Zoro, are you an idiot?" (M/N) said.

"And I never thought that you would become a marine!" Zoro exclaimed.

"Hey Zoro! Who's the blue haired guy?" Luffy asked while staring at (M/N).

"My childhood friend (M/N)," told Zoro with irritation at Luffy for butting into his conversation with (M/N).

"Would you like to become one of my Nakama?" Luffy asked.

"That would be impossible as I am a Captain of the marines as you can see," (M/N) pointed to his outfit. "Speaking of that, in the name of absolute justice, I will arrest you the next time I see you!"

(M/N) turned and walked away back to his shop, leaving a stunned group of Straw Hat Pirates.

"I look forward to it, (M/N). Arrest us if you can," whispered Zoro as he stared at the spot (M/N) stood.
