Chapter 10

Back to Lexi

I was sitting there, holding my newborn son. I looked over at Daniel, and he was crying while on the phone. "Who are you on the phone with?" I mouthed. "My mom." He mouthed back, wiping his tears. I couldn't stand up, because well, I had given birth like 15 minutes ago. (😂) The midwife had a pediatric assistant come over and examine my son, he's okay. He is fully grown and developed. That was a relief.

Sean Anthony Seavey kept running through my head. What if Lilliana was still here? What if she didn't have brittle bone disease, and what if she was born into our lives? Would it be the same? Would I still have this blessing? Daniel got off the phone and came over to the couch and admired my son. Our son. "He's beautiful." Daniel said. My mom and my brothers had went back to bed, and the boys went to bed too. The midwife had left. So it was just me, Daniel and Sean.

"Thank you." I said looking at Daniel. "Why are you thanking me? Your the one who went through all of the pain just to bring him into the world." "You helped me. If you weren't here, I wouldn't have been able to do this." He hugged me. "Your welcome baby girl."

That night

"Can I hold him?" Ethan asked. "Sure. Here." I said handing him Sean. "He looks just like you." Ethan said to Daniel. "Of course he does, he came from my own sperm." Daniel said in a serious tone. Ethan chuckled. "Hi baby Sean, I'm uncle Ethan, welcome to the world buddy." He said kissing Sean on his forehead. "I'm hungry babe." I told Ethan. "What do you want to eat?" He asked. "Sushi, with a big glass of wine." I said to him. He smiled. "Alright. I'll be back with sushi and a bottle of wine." He said grabbing his keys.

Jonah can out to the living room. "You did great, Lex." He said hugging me. "Thank you." I said smiling. "Daniel is probably over the moon." Jonah replied. "He is." I replied. The doorbell rang. "I'll get it." I said getting up very slowly. "Sit down, I got it." Jonah said getting up.

"Someone is here to see you." Jonah said opening the door. "Where is my nephew?!" Cameron said running in. "With mom." I said laughing. "Well she better give it up. Aunt Cameron is here." She said storming into the family room.

Daniel got home with my sushi, and he bought himself some too. We sat down and ate together, as parents. We cracked open the bottle of wine while my siblings and my mom were taking over my baby. "I can't believe we are parents." I said. "I know, it's crazy." Daniel said grabbing my hand. "I love you so much." He said. "I love you too." I replied. "Maybe we can start planning our wedding." I said. "Maybe." He said smiling.

About 10 minutes later

"Can I walk around, please? I've been sitting here since I was pushing Sean out." "Yeah, Lemme go grab one of your brothers incase you happen to fall of something." He walked into the family room and walked back out here with both of my brothers. "Do you need help standing up?" "Babe, I just gave birth, I didn't just have a seizure." I said slowly standing up.

I walked into the kitchen and grabbed some wine, then walked from the kitchen to the dining room a lot of times. Finally, I realized that I overdid it, so I went back and sat down.

"I'm gonna go finish getting the nursery set up." Daniel said. "Okay." I sighed.
"Can you bring me Sean?" I asked Ethan. "Yeah" He said.

Cameron came out and was like, "I was trying to get my snuggle time!" "Sorry Cam, but I gotta learn how to breastfeed." I said looking at her. "Oh fine." She said.

A little while later

Daniel finished the nursery and came back up to do some dishes and clean up the house. As for me, I continued to feed the baby. "Your doing amazing." Daniel said smiling at me. "Thank you," I said smiling at him.

After a little while, Daniel, Sean and me went downstairs to get us some food. "This tastes really good." I said eating the pizza. "It does." Daniel agreed with me. Ethan and Grayson finally woke up. "We can take Sean for you guys, you could go get some sleep." Ethan said. "No, its okay." I said. "No, you haven't slept in forever, you need to get some sleep." I stood up and handed Grayson the baby. "Thank you guys." I said hugging my brothers. "Wake me up if anything happens." I said. "I will." Ethan said.

Me and Daniel went to my room and slept for what seemed like hours, and it really was 4 full hours! Finally, after I woke up, I went upstairs to feed Sean. "Hi baby," I cooed at my son. "Are you hungry?" I asked him.

About 20 minutes later

Sean fell asleep right as I finished feeding him. I took him to my room, and laid him in his bassinet. I laid back down with Daniel, then Ethan texted me.

Ethan- Daniels mom and dad are here.

"Dani." I said shaking him awake. "Huh?" He asked. "Your parents are here." I said getting up. I grabbed Sean, and got him around.

Daniels POV

"Hi mom," I said hugging her as she walked in the front door with my father. "Well? Where is my grandson and my daughter in law?" "Lexi is getting the baby situated," My mom nodded. "Do you mind if I go down and help Lexi with the baby?" My mom asked. "I don't mind." I said grabbing her coat and purse from her.

Lexi's POV

"There we go, Sean." I said laying him in my bed to put his onesie on. "Grandma Keri is here!" My mother in law said, coming into my bedroom. I walked up to her and have her a hug. "How are you feeling, honey?" She asked. "I'm feeling okay, I'm a bit sore. And I am feeling a bit sick. But I'm okay." "Just so you know, me and Jeff are here for the next few days to help." "That works out so well, my mom and my brothers are leaving tonight to go back to New Jersey." "Perfect timing, then." Keri said laughing.

A little while later

Keri and Jeff were in the living room with Sean, and Daniel just got finished cleaning up the nursery. "Where's Sean?" "With your parents." I murmured hugging him. "Oh." He said. We both walked up the stairs and found Keri holding Sean. "He is absolutely beautiful." Keri said hugging us. "Thank you." I said hugging her back in return.
