Chapter 2 Escape Route

As I opened the double door we came upon a parking lot. Everything was ok or so it seemed. Jack went to the first car he saw and tried to hit the window with his elbow. But fell on the ground in pain.

" Are you ok jack." I said rushing to him and held out my hand to help him up. Then we heard gunshots from the other side of the museum. Which made me jump. There was a helicopter flying over on that side of the museum. Bam Bam Bam. We where hearing a lot of gunshots. We heard whimpering and whaling. I helped jack up.

" Hopefully that's the army taking care of this." I said.

" Don't jinx it yet." Said Lance. They where still firing.

" Let's git out of here to civilization. Before this gets worse." Said jack karate kicking the window in. Which actually worked. Me and Lance where still watching what was happening. As jack hotwired the car. As we watched we saw one of velociraptors jumping up and taking down the helicopter.

" Jack how's that car coming." I said as the hocopter hit the building. Exploding it in the process.

" Working on it." Shouted jack.

" Well work harder. Because we're about to be barbecued." Shouted Lance because Lance was looking at what I was looking at. The car fired up.jack got in and shouted.

" Go go go." Me and Lance belined for the car and got in. Slammed the door. Jack punched the gas and we where out of there. We got out of there just in time the museum exploded. But in the distance I could see something chasing us. It was the velociraptors. Chasing us.

"Guys we've got company." I said looking out the back window.

" Go faster Jack. Shouted Lance. Tapping the side of the passenger seat with his palm.

" I'm red lining her this is as fast as she will go." Said jack.

" Yah right we are only going 70." Said Lance looking at the dashboard.

" What I'm saying is that she can't go any faster." Said jack. I looked back to the back window. And saw I was face to face with the velociraptor.

" Guys." I said backing up into the front seat.

" Oh sh-" before Lance cour finish that sentence. The velociraptor jumped on top of the roof broke into the sun roof. But some glass remaned. It used its upper jaw to bight jack.

" Ahhh." Screamed Jack as he was trying to force the velociraptor.off of him. But he was losing blood. The velociraptor had a good hold of his neck. And he wasn't letting go. I had to do something. So I broke through the rest of the already broken sunroof. And push myself through it. I knew the bone that was bitten probably had some of that green stuff in it. It glowed. Like a glow stick. I could see it was the middle back bone of the velociraptor. I started to grab at the bone. That made the velociraptor jump but he was stuck so he couldn't move. I pulled the backbone out. And just as the velociraptor appeared it disappeared without a Trace. I looked back at the backbone it was disintegrated in my hand. I shook off the ashes off my hand. Jack was still in the driver's seat and he was losing blood fast. I'm surprised we haven't crashed. By what was happening in our situation. Jack took his foot off the gas pedal and the car slowly stopped. On the side of the road. The velociraptor that was chasing us went past us. Going towards the town. But I was too worried about jack. To even think about what the dinosaur could do. When I looked back at Jack from the passenger seat.

"Jack was lying still with his eyes open. Blood all over the seat. I wanted to check his pulse but, there was so much blood around his neck. I figured if I touched his neck. It would make him worse. So I grabbed his hand to feel his pulse on his hand where it connects to the arm. There was no pulse. He was dead.
