highway 61 revisited, again

Once you were wandering on highway 61
But nobody can tell what you've actually done
You've heard some stories about selling your soul
And maybe that is true or maybe answer is no

You've read the newspapers telling this
"You can come to crossroads and reach your bliss"
Thoughts in your head were flying fast
But you decided to give it a chance at last

You were gone for maybe one whole week
So no one was able to hear you speak
People wondered where the hell have you been
Have you really went there to commit that sin

You came back to your old town
And everybody could see your blistering crown
Your thick skin felt their worried heads
As they were talking about some evil threads

Half of the eyes relied upon your skinny face
Judging and calling you a biggest disgrace
Others have sent their prayers to holy sky
But you cannot stop questioning why

Truth lies deep, somewhere in between
As there was no mark of Devil's skin
You came to road and saw Angel's light
"Go home little boy unless you want to die this night"
