"You look beautiful, Gabz" Gabby smiled at Ian Walker as he sat beside her in the car on her way to her wedding "thanks Ian, I can't believe I'm actually marrying James" Gabby wore a beautiful white dress:
With her hair done like this:
She had her Villa teammates and her national teammates at her wedding, Ian was travelling with her while it was Teddy Sheringham giving her away to James as Gabby's father hadn't lived to see his baby girl walk down the aisle on her wedding day, yet she wore the locket he had given her before he passed away:
Gabby's locket had belonged to her grandmother and Elaine had asked Thomas Southgate to give it to Gabby when she got married, when Thomas was diagnosed with terminal cancer, he gave it to Gabby on his deathbed. Gabby had worn the locket that fateful night at the Euros under her shirt, her family were still nothing but supportive of her with her career regardless of what the press said.
James was stood next to the alter in the church with Sirius beside him and one of Gabby's England teammates beside him, Gabby appeared with Tony at the head of the aisle and blew James away "you're one very lucky guy, James" Paul Ince smiled "don't I know it, all because we met in a pub" he murmured, smiling at his beautiful fiancée walking down the aisle with her National team captain beside her.
As the ceremony began, James felt uneasy "James" Gabby held his hand gently "just a gut feeling something's wrong, Gabz" she smiled gently "it's alright" she assured him, squeezing his hand gently as they exchanged vows "I take thee, Gabrielle Southgate, as my lawfully wedded wife. Though thick and thin, heaven and hell, good times and bad, in sickness and in health until death do us part " "I take thee, James Charles Potter, as my lawfully wedded husband. Through thick and thin, heaven and hell, good times and bad, in sickness and in health until death do us part."
Although he couldn't see him, James knew Albus was there and fuming he was marrying Gabby, he saw her as an animal who didn't deserve to marry the man who loved her as much as she loved him "I now pronounce you man and wife, you may kiss the bride" James smiled as he finally kissed Gabby as his wife. She may be married now, but she kept her maiden name while she worked.
At the reception, Gabby was congratulated by her work colleagues and James' father "you look amazing, Gabby" Lainya Shearer smiled at her friend "thanks, Lain. Where's Alan got to?" Lainya shrugged "drinking, he's only gone and had a competition with the Neville brothers" Gabby shook her head "Phil's a kid, he's what? Nineteen?" Lainya shrugged again "ah, James my lad" James glared at Albus as he and Lily approached the couple "I didn't invite you, Albus."
Lily glared at the brunette beside her ex-boyfriend "you cheated on him with my ex, so it's your own fault" Gabby snapped, usually so mild mannered and polite with everyone "she's an animal, James..." "you came from them, Lily, so don't act like you're a pureblood" James shot back, his arm around his wife's shoulders "anyway, you fucked Gabby's ex-boyfriend behind my back."
Lily swore revenge on Gabby and left with Albus behind her, Gabby just hoped the bad feeling something was going to happen with her and James was just a feeling. But Gabby had magicals in both Aston Villa and the English National team, those boys would do anything to protect their own, especially the Man United boys.
