"Oh come on mom, do I really have to go? " I complained as she dragged me out the house.
"Yes you big baby. It is only nice
that we visit our new neighbours and welcome them to the community" my mother said pulling me out the door.
"Really, this run down piece of shit of a community you want to welcome them to?"
"Language! And you may never know, they might just enjoy oir company right now"
"Ugh! Geez fine!" I say exiting the front door.
We approached our new neighbour's front lawn, which was well cut with little bushes starting to flower. We walked up to the big brown door and my mother knocked awaiting someone to open it. I hear footsteps shuffling from the inside. Slowly, the door began opening bringing a woman in her early 40's into view. Her hash-brown curls reated on her shoulders, her hazel brown eyes sparkling with excitement once her eyes meet ours. She flashed us a warm welcoming smile before opening her door wider for us to enter.
"You must be the family next door" she says extending her hand to shake mines and my mother's," I'm Janette."
"Nice to meet you Janette, I'm Miranda, this is my son Chad and my daugher Jenny."
"Please hold a second while I go get my kids to meet you guys, please, have a seat." She said pointing to the couch. I immediately plop down on the couch. " would you like anything to drink?"
" i want a juicy pack!" Jenny said with her dark brown eyes twinkling.
" sure n problem Jenny! Anybody ese would like anything else?" She asked looking at us
" oh no thanks dear we're fine" my mothr declined politly.
" ok then, I'll be right back. Please, make yourselves at home."
About three minutes later, she returned with a kool kids banana juice box in her hand. She immediately handed it to Jenny.
"Here you go sweety!"
"Thank you lady!"
" so, what brings you and your family to Welview Heights?" My mother asks.
" oh you know...."
We all looked up to see someone running down the stairs.
" mom you called for me and Emmett?" A some what fustrated voice said coming down the stairs. " I told you I was.... oh hi mom you didn't tell me we had visitors." She said looking at my mother then at me. I immediately recognise her. Her chest-nut hair falling down her back and her hazel brown eyes staring at me.
"This is my daughter Taylor and my son Emmett. " Janette said as a little boy around seven years of age followed behind Taylor. "Kids this is Miranda, Chad and Jenny. There're our neighbours!"
"Hi" Taylor said looking at my mom.
" Hi there sweety!"
"Yea soo what brings you guys to Welview?" I asked letting my gaze move from Taylor and letting them focus on Janette.
" well you see, my husband and found it not really safe to stay any longer in Lavanet Avenue. It was kind of getting to out of hand and we finally paid out the rent off this house just a few weeks ago."
" well I really hope you enjoy your stay here. I can assure you this is a safe and small community." Mom says assuring Janette.
" that's really good news to hear!" Janette says, sounding with relief in her voice.
" So Taylor, are you attending Wellington High?" Mom asks curiously.
" Umm.. ye.. yea I am" she replied nervously.
"So you've meet Chad then? "
"I've ran Into him once but I didn't really know him then" Taylor says looking at my mom. I started laughing quietly, getting the attention from everyone.
" What's so funny? " my mother asks.
"Nothing just remembered something" I said " so Taylor, how you liking the house" I continued and started looking at her.
"It's nice I guess" she said looking at her feet. "I'm gonna get something to drink" she continued and walkied towards the kitchen. Within a few minutes she returned and sat on the couch on the opposite side of me, not even looking my way.
"Would you all like to stay for dinner. I prepared macaroni pie, fried rice and barbecue chicken. " Taylor's mom said.
"Oh-" my mom started
"Please I insist."
"Ok we wouldn't mind staying. Thank you for having us!"

Hey guys I am soooooooooo sorry for the late updates. Its exam week and I am sticking my nose in my books. I look li, e a nerd. Lol. But anyways I decided that I should take a brake and well u no updaye this story. Again I am soooooo sorry! Being in form 2 is hard and trying to maintain straoght A's, is even harder ever since I mobed up a form. I will try atleast after exams , to update regularly. Sorry if this chapter was short.
