~chapter five~ friends

(Bonnibell's P.O.V)

I packed up my books when I heard the bell ring and walked out of class, it was now lunch time. I look around and spot marceline outside my classroom door.

"Hey marceline" I smiled.
"Hey bonnibell. How was your morning?"
"It's been good so far, thanks to you"

We walk down the hall together and head outside to the field. she sits down under a tree and gestures for me to sit next to her.

"Well, this is my spot" she smiles awkwardly.
"You sit alone?" I ask furrowing my eyebrows.
"Yeah it's just me, sorry" she said while looking down at the grass.
"No don't be sorry, I get it making friends can be hard. So how long have you lived here?"
"I moved here about 2 years ago, it's just me and my dad but he's not around much so it's just me" she said in a sad tone.
"Oh that must get lonely"
"Yeah it can be"

We sat under the tree talking about subjects and other school related stuff and after a while the bell rang indicating the end of lunch.

"What do you have next?" Marceline asked.
"I have science, my favourite" I said happily.
"Oh so you're a nerd?" She said smirking.
"Pfftt It's not like that, it's actually really fun" I said chuckling
"Well it looks like we have science together, come with me".

We both walk into class and sit beside each other at the back.

"Greetings I'm mr.lemongrab and I'll be your science teacher for this year, please partner up with the person next to you and I will hand out your assigned sheets and we can go from there.

Me and marceline looked at each other and smiled when the word 'partner up' was mentioned. We sat at a table with all the equipment and ingredients laid out in front of us.
"Looks like I'm not the only nerd" I giggled giving marceline's shoulder a nudge.
"Haha your funny" she said sarcastically.

"Hey watch this"
I watch marceline as she mixes and stirs up a formula.
"I-is that a stink bomb?" I asked surprised.
"Bingo"
"You're quite the rebel huh?"
"Maybe so, are you ready"
"I'm so gonna regret this"

I pinch my nose with my fingers as a huge cloud of gas fills the room.

"MARCELINE AND BONNIBELL PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE NOW!"

We both walk out of the principals office with guilty expressions on our faces.

"Sorry I got you in trouble on your first day"
"No it's okay, i actually enjoyed it".
We both smile at each other.

I hung out with marceline for the rest of the day until it was time to go home. the final bell rang and we both made our way to our houses.

"Well I'll see you tomorrow then" i said as we arrived.
"Yeah see you tomorrow... oh uhm do you mind if i could get your cell number so we could um keep in touch?" She asked nervously.
"Yeah sure" I replied

I tell her my number as she types it in her phone.

"Ok cool I'll give you a text later on" she said happily
We both seperate and walk inside our houses.
