As I open my eyes the next morning, I ask myself 'Where the fuck am I?'. And then I remember that we moved to Los Angeles to live with my mother's new boyfriend.

I look around and notice that the boxes with my things are here. I wonder how they got them in without waking me up.

I go to the nearest box, open it and look inside. It's filled with a buch of notebooks for school. I groan internally as I remember I'm going to be 'the new kid' on monday. Today is saturday so I have two days until the torture begins.

My growling stomach interrupts my thoughts. I go downstairs and struggle to find the kitchen in this giant place. I wonder around opening a couple of doors. Finally I enter the right door. The kitchen is bigger than a normal one. It looks like every room in this place is bigger than it is supposed to be. Everything looks brand new. You can see your reflection on the floor. I go to the fridge. There is a sticky note on it. I remove it from the fridge and read it.

We're out for lunch. Make yourself a sandwich or something.

It is then that I realize that it's 12:30pm. Wow. Was I in a goddamn coma or something? Anyway, I open the fridge and take out the ingredients for a sandwich. Bread, ham, cheese, cucumber and tomatoes. Before I start making anything I take out my phone and play music. I dance as I cut the ham, cheese and vegetables.

After that I go upstairs to my room and decide that I'm going to look around the town. I basically unpack everything until I find the clothes I want to wear. Black ripped jeans and navy blue t-shirt.

As I walk outside I realize I really need to buy a lot of shorts. It's hot as fuck.

What did you expect, dumbass? Greenland? This is LA. I think.

I realize my phone doesn't have a lot of battery so if I get lost I wouldn't be able to use google maps to find the way home so I decide to just take a walk around the neighborhood.

I walk around the neighborhood lost in thoughts about the friends and team i left behind in New York. I wonder if they miss me.

When I arrive at the house I go to my room, which is a complete mess since i tried to find clothes earlier. I fold my clothes and place them neatly in the closet. I put the notebooks for school in a random cupboard without much care. Then I take the box full of pictures of me and my friends. I put a picture of me and my best friend Emily on the nightstand. Then I take out a bunch of photos of me and the team on soccer games, me and my other friends. I stick them to the wall. I don't really like posters so I put pictures on the walls. When I'm finished the only thing left are my books. I should buy some shelves to put in this room. Did I mention I love to read? I like all genres but I prefer fantasy and romance. My favorite series is The Mortal Instrument by Cassandra Clare, well, actually all of her books are my favorite. Anyway, I put the four boxes full of books in the corner.

I hear someone knocking on my door. As I open it I see that it's my mum. "Dinner is ready" she says.

I look at her in confusion but then I notice that it's 7:30 pm. Didn't know I've been unpacking for so long. "Okay, I'll be down in a minute" I say as I close the door.

I quickly change clothes and go down the stairs to the kitchen. There are all different kinds of dishes and it smells delicious. I take a seat on the table, next to my mum, who sits across from Edward. We begin eating.

Edward asks questions about me like 'Do you play sports?' 'Which?' 'What's your favorite color?' 'Do you have a girlfriend?'

My answers are short 'Yes' 'Soccer' 'Navy blue' 'I'm gay'

He looks shocked by the last answer "Really?" he asks.

"Yea, why?"

"Well, you don't look gay" he says
