Malike P.O.V.
After my sister picked me up I went to see her children then I went home. I thought about how I should've saw my mother more. I didn't mean to do what I did. Then I thought about Nia. And how I had left her alone with Darrel. I knocked over a vase as I grabbed my keys and ran out the door. I was praying that I didn't get caught speeding. When I pulled up I bammed on the door and when there was no answer I just ran into the door. It was stupid but as it fell from it's hinges I yelled for Nia. Darrel had ran in the room asking what happened. Not seeing Nia I assumed that he did something and so I jumped on his ass and punched the fuck out of him. I had just ran through a door so at the time beating his ass was a cake walk. I could hear Tre speeding up the street and I knew he was going to try and stop me so I started hitting harder.Nia: What the hell, Malike stop! STOP! STOP NOW! GET OFF HIM!
Malike: What the hell you do to her? Don't make me beat yo ass again! Speak up bitch, I will kill you, fuck all that child bullshit!!!
At this point Tre and Nia was holding Malike back. Nikki had to pull Darrel outside. She stood there talking to him for a minute about what happened but he wouldn't say nothing. All he said was that Malike was a child and he better be careful. In the house Tre went to get ice for Malike's fist, and Darrel's everything. While he did that Nia and Malike started talking.
Nia: Why did you do that?
Malike: Are you ok? What happened? Did he hurt you!
Nia: Malike...
Malike: Tell me what he did to you.
Nia: Are you ok?
Malike: What did he do? (Taking a deep breathe) Nia look I know you don't know us that well. And even though we only spent a day together I can tell that he did something. I know Darrel all too well. And when he doesn't get his way he's known to force his "opinion" on people. So I don't mean to be rude but I'm only going to ask you this one last time.
Nia: (Crying) He tried to... to... make an attempt to get my.... my consent first, but I.... Said no.
You could see the anger taking over his body. He wasn't about to let Darrel get away without at the very least a broken bone.
Malike: Don't make any excuses for him!... I'm sorry, I'm sorry... I don't mean to yell.
Nia: He... he pulled a gun on me, and forced me to.... to... (she just cried). (pulling herself together) Then he laughed at me because I was crying. He told me to take a shower and it was just....
Malike: Okay (deep breath). I'm going to ask you to move now (deep breath ). And I'm going to get in my car (breath) and drive to my house. After (deep breath) I kill him!
Nia: No. Stop Malike please . (Trying to stop herself from crying) Malike please. Just let it be what it is. As a matter of fact come upstairs with me please.
Malike: Nia, he's done this one time too many! So as much as I would love to just walk away, I need to let him know this shit ain't ok! The only way he gone understand that is if I kill him! I mean come on, I'm tired of this bullshit! I got more common sense and respect for other people in one brain cell than that stupid bitch got in his whole body! Let me calm down, look I'm about to go home.
Nia: Well then let me go with you, but you're definitely not about to go to jail for killing that boy. I need to make sure you stay with me. And just being real, without you I don't feel safe.
Malike: No. We just met yesterday and I would be putting you in danger if I took you to my house. Cause that's the first place that bitch is gone go.
Nia: First of all you just beat the fuck out of dude for a girl you just met yesterday. Secondly do I look like I'm gonna take no for an answer? You're either going to come upstairs or I'm going with you. Your decision.
After a long pause, Malike finally agreed to go upstairs with Nia. They were up there for a long time just talking. Partly because they were wrapped up in the conversation and the other part was because Darrel was still outside with Nikki and Tre. Eventually Nia was able to make Malike forget about Darrel still being there, or at least he seemed to forget. The conversation went on and he asked her if she didn't mind him painting her.
Nia: Yeah, I would love that. But you'll have to be nice and embellish a few things.
Malike: (Lifting her head) You are perfect and don't forget that. Know for the rest of your life that, you are beautiful.
Nikki: Yeah the perfect combination of smart and sexy.
Tre: You good Nia? He told me what happened and I'm sorry I brought him here. I should have known he wouldn't change.
Nia: It's alright. You didn't know you were just trying to be a good friend and trust him.
Tre: No. If I was being a good friend then I wouldn't have brought him with me. I knew he had a history, but....
Nikki: But he's like family to you and family's important. Family can change.
Tre: At least that's what I used to think.
There was a long silence. Nikki and Nia looked at each other remembering why they left their own families behind. As far as they were concerned they were all they had. A few months went by and nobody had seen or talked to Darrel. Nikki and Tre got together and were basically inseparable. Nia and Malike talked about a relationship, but Nia felt she would eventually have to tell Malike about her past if they got serious. So she kept things on a friends with benefits level. You could tell they were in love. One day after work Nikki drove Nia to Malike's art studio so he could paint her portrait.
Nia: Why did you paint it like that? I mean I love it, and I think you're super talented, but that's not what I was wearing. And my hair wasn't in my face that way.
Malike: Well you're really beautiful, but I can tell you're insecure. So I wanted it to have personality. So I put some hair in your face and let the rest hang down. And I changed the colors of your clothes to match your skin tone and the background. You know you're perfect on every level, and not even I can capture your beauty. I do have a question though. And you don't have to answer until you're ready, but what really happened to you; before you moved here who were you?
Nia: Malike, will you do me a favor?
Malike : Anything.
Nia : Can you just hold me.
He laughed but with no hesitation put down his paint brushes, and led her to his office. He sat on the couch and put her in his lap. She put her head on his shoulder while he played with her hair. After a while he lifted her head and kissed her passionately. The kiss got more intense with every second. Without breaking the kiss she took off his shirt that was covered in dry paint. He let his hand massage her upper thigh, then slowly find its way to her ass. She went for his belt and zipper. Undoing them at a seductive pace,as he pulled off her shirt kissing her chest. And then her skirt being careful to caress every part of her golden tan body. Once they were both bare their bodies worked in harmony to please one another. At some points Malike would ask Nia if she wanted to stop or if he was too much, but she could only moan. Nia had to immediately grab hold of the couch as Malike flipped her over roughly kissing her. He slapped her ass a couple times before he put it in full force. Nia lost all control and started to moan louder, screaming his name at the top of her lungs. At first he took it as momentum and gave it to her harder and faster. After a few minutes Malike realized he was too much for her to handle and slacked off his pace a bit. When she came he pulled out and went to lick it up. Though she was very sore, she saved enough energy to let her tongue take over as Malike's sword plunged down her throat. This was not the first time that either of them had sex, but it was definitely the first time that they made love.
