I know the truth

It was Saturday morning. Carly, Spencer, Sam and Savanna were eating breakfast when Freddie came to their house.
Freddie: Hello everyone, guess who became a volunteer.
Carly: You are a volunteer? Where?
Freddie: In our school. We're helping poor people from our school who has problems with some subjects. We're tutoring them for free or we can get paid from school.
Sam: Knowing you, you probably chose the second option.
Freddie: No Sam. I told  you, I'm a volunteer.
Suddenly Wolfie came to the kitchen.
Freddie: Oh, hi Wolfie!
He stroke the dog and then Wolfie ran to Savanna. She immediately put her legs on the chair.
Savanna: Can someone take him from me, please?
Carly: I'll give him some food.
Savanna: Ok, do what  you want. Anyway, I need to go, because I'm hanging out with Nina and my other friends from the class in the "Groovy smothie".
Carly: Ok, bye.
Savanna: Bye -she closed the doors.
Sam: Hey, Freddie, I'm wondering, why do you want to tutor people from our school, if you don't want to take money from it.
Freddie: Because I'll get extra points to get to the university. Me and Carly decided to go to the university in L.A. and it's really hard to get there.
Sam: Cool. I'll go there with you guys.
Carly and Freddie: Ha ha ha!
Sam: What's so funny?
Carly: Hmm...how to say that? YOU WILL NEVER GET TO THIS UNIVERSITY!
Sam: Why?
Carly: Because of your grades.
Freddie: But actually, she still has a time. We could help her and her grades may improve.
Sam: Ok, maybe he is an idiot , but this time he is right.
Freddie: Ok Carly, you will help alone. I just won't stand her anymore.
Sam: Ok, fine. I don't need you.
Freddie: Cool -he went from Carly's house.
Carly: Are you sure?
Sam: Yes of course.
Carly: But what about Spanish? I'm learning French, so I can't help you. And by the way, you need help with almost every subject. I don't have so much time.
Sam: So what can I do?
Carly: I think you should apologize to Freddie and try not to be so mean to him.
Sam: Do I really have to?
Carly: Only if you want to get to the university.
Sam: Ughh...ok.

Meanwhile Savanna came to the "Groovy smothie" with four of her friend: Nina, Lilly, Jason and Stephen.
They were talking and having fun until Genevieve came with her group of friends. They definitely saw Savanna and the rest, but only Jaden said hi. Unfortunately, nobody answered. They ordered cocktails, sat at the table and started talking. Suddenly, Savanna came up with idea to sing with Nina. She agreed, because they used to sing a lot together when they were younger. They started singing and people really liked it. Especially Jaden, who was looking at the girls throughout the whole song. Genevieve was angry. She couldn't stand that Jaden is paying  attention to her, because of some girls. She decided to do a revenge. She told that she's going to the bathroom,  but before she came here, she poured out her cocktail on the floor in front of the stairs leading to the stage. Then she came to the bathroom and she went back from it quickly to look if her prank will succeed. At this time Jaden was recording girls by his phone to post it on instastory. The song finally finished,  Nina and Savanna left the stage and nothing happened. Genevieve was very angry, but she had another plan. She came to the girls.
Genevieve: Wow girls, what a wonderful performance. Congrats!
Savanna: Thank you.
Suddenly she poured some cocktail on Nina's phone.
Genevieve: Oh, I'm sorry! I'll buy you a new phone, because we all know that you can't afford it.
Genevieve friends started laughing, only Jaden was quiet. Nina run away from the restaurant crying. Savanna followed her.

Few hours later Freddie's mom was trying to take some box from the cupboard, but she was too small, so she took some chairs and tried again. Unfortunately, the box turned out being too heavy for her.
Ms. Benson: Freddie, can you help me with this box?
Freddie: Ok -Freddie went on the chair and took the box. Unfortunately, he felt off the chair and all things that were on  the box  spilled out.
Ms. Benson: O my God! Freddie, nothing happened to you?
Freddie: No, it's ok mom.
Freddie looked at the things that were in the box and he noticed some picture of his mom and some man. Freddie realized, that this boy was very similar to him.
Freddie: Hey, mom, who is this man in the picture?
Ms. Benson: It's...just my friend.
Freddie looked at the picture and saw that this man was hugging his mom. They definitely didn't look like a couple of friends. It was obvious that they were in love with each other.
Freddie: I don't think so. He's so similar to me that I think it could be my dad.
Ms. Benson: What are you talking about? By the way, your dad is a bad person, so you'll never meet him.
Freddie: But I need to know who my dad is!
Ms. Benson: No, you don't.
Freddie: You can say whatever you want, but you won't stop me from finding my dad.
Freddie came to Carly's house with the picture, because wanted to say everyone the good news.
Freddie: Guys, you won't believe what I just found!
Carly: But first, Sam has something to tell you.
Freddie: Ok, I forgive you.
Sam: How did you know?
Freddie: I just know you for so many years and I knew that Carly won't manage to help you with everything.
Carly: Ok, so now show us what did you found.
Freddie: Look. This is a picture of my dad. Now I just have to scan it to the computer and...
Suddenly Carly got a message from Adam.
Carly: Sorry guys, but I have to go. Adam just came for me and we're going to the cinema.
Sam: Buy me a popcorn!
Carly: Sam, I won't buy you a popcorn. We have it at home.
Sam: But popcorn from the cinema is tastier.
Carly: Ok, we'll see. Bye!
Sam and Freddie: Bye!
Carly left Sam and Freddie alone. Freddie was searching for some informations about his dad, while Sam was doing her homework. It wasn't a common view, so Freddie started looking at her with a suprised face.
Freddie: It's so weird  to see you doing your homework.
Sam: I told you I want to improve my grades.
Freddie: Yes I know, but I didn't know if you were serious.
Suddenly Freddie's phone rang and he answered.
Freddie: Ok, so see you in five minutes.
Sam: Who was it?
Freddie: The student who I'm tutoring -Jade...
Sam: Oh, so it's a girl?
Freddie: Jaden. You didn't let me finish.
Sam: Oh ok, cool.
Freddie: Anyway, I have to go right now. I can't let Jaden to wait for me.

About one hour later, Savanna came to Freddie's house.
Savanna: Hey Freddie, do you have some time?
She looked at Jaden and she was shocked. He didn't have his expensive clothes, but just old black jacket, cheap white tshirt and ripped jeans.
Savanna: So...this is your student that you are tutoring?
Freddie: Yes, why are you asking?
Savanna: Without any reason.
Jaden: Savanna, I will explain you everything, just wait for me ok?
Savanna: Ok, why not? It can be funny. I will be in the house opposite.

When Jaden finished his lesson, he went for a walk with Savanna, because he needed to talk to her.
Savanna: So, what do you want to say to me?
Jaden: Ok, listen. The truth is that I'm not rich. I'm getting scholarship too. I'm spending most of it for those clothes, which are mostly from secondhands and other things to pretend that I have money.
Savanna: Ok, but why do you do that?
Jaden: Because I have friend who is on the second year of our school and he already knows how it works. Poor kids are being bullied by rich kids. I've heard so many terrible stories from him. Anyway, I think you already know how it is.
Savanna: Yes, you don't need to remind me.
Jaden: But can I ask you a question?
Savanna: Ok.
Jaden: Why do you get the scholarship, when you're living in such an expensive building?
Savanna: Actually, I don't have a house here. I'm just living at my cousins house. My own house is much bigger and by the way, I don't have scholarship.
Jaden: What?! But you...
Savanna: I don't look like I was rich ,right?
Jaden: No, I didn't mean that. I'm just wondering why do you let Genevieve and her friends to treat you like that while you don't deserve it.
Savanna: I prefer that then being one of those rich snobs. Anyway, I need to go home. It's really cold here.
Jaden: Oh, I can give you my jacket if you want.
Savanna: No, you don't have to. I will better go home right now.
Jaden: Ok, but promise me that you will never tell anyone my secret.
Savanna: Only if you won't tell mine.
Jaden: Ok.
Savanna: Ok, so...bye.
Jaden: Bye. See you in school.
