Avery was having trouble tying his shoes on the sidewalk. "LETS GO, AVERY!" "Coming!!"

Running up to Patrick, Avery jumped at the sight of the preteens. Patrick smirked, "Guys, this is my little brother, Avery." The fat one bursted out into laughter. "PATRICK has a little brother?! That's EXTRAORDINARY!" "Is that a new word in your vocabulary, Belch?" The pretty blonde one stated. He had a sharp jawline, clean shirt, combed hair, and seemed to be the only proper-looking kid there. Avery had never seen a teenage boy so fashionable, other than Richie Tozier... but this was a different kind of fashionable. This boy was gorgeous. The boy smiled, "My names Victor. I'm one of Patrick's friends. This is Belch, Peter, Moose, Gard, Deidre, and Henry."

Henry. Avery had heard of Henry. He couldn't take his eyes off of him... Henry, all of Derry had to be scared of him. Henry's dad was a cop, a real mean one at that. Avery heard stories about Henry from his friend Georgie from school. Not to mention, he also knew Henry's cousin, Conner Bowers. Conner wasn't nearly as bad as Georgie says Henry is, but he was still fairly bad.

Peter jumped in front of Avery's gaze, "He looks just like you, Hockstetter!!" Avery jumped back, shaking slightly. To that Peter laughed, "Don't worry! I'm not gonna molest you or anything~ I've got a girlfriend, her names-" "Marcia. We get it, you two've been dating for a month. Get over it." Victor snapped again. "He's so smart," Avery thought to himself, "I wish I could be like him." Everyone seemed to be gentler than their reputations claimed they were, all except Henry. He had the figure of a crow; his hair slicked back, his eyes piercing into anything he saw, his lip in a constant curl, and his fist in a tight clutch. Did Henry not like Patrick? Why had he looked so upset?

"Well here they are, you happy now, kid?" Patrick grimaced, making Avery instantly piss himself. Moose had come up from behind him, grabbing him from under his armpits. Avery kicked in surprise, tears welling up his eyes. The pretty blonde boy sighed and watched as the others laughed at him. Even Henry sneaked a smug look. Belch poked Avery's sides, "He squeals like a filthy pig!" "That's because he is one," Patrick joined in, "You should've seen him eat his cake last night, even wet my bed last night." "Looks like he's even a little wet now~ Should we check?" Moose grabbed the rim of Avery's jeans. The boys chanted on as Avery realized what was going on. He kicked furiously, not being able to keep up with the much older boys. "I told you, Avery-" His brother glared as Avery began to sob,

"They're dangerous people"
