Six

"Hey..."

Taehyung stares at the girl in front of him frozen. Just a while ago he was chasing her out the building and now that he has her in front of him he doesn't know what to do.

"Hey.." He finally responds.

"I... we... can we talk?" She seems just as nervous as he does.

He nods and steps aside to let her in.

"Do you want anything to drink?" He asks feeling kind of awkward.

"No, thank you I'm good." He hums in response.

They both go quiet not knowing what to say next and it feels very awkward.

"I can't believe you're here..." Taehyung didn't mean to say it out loud, but before he can register what he's saying the words come out his mouth. "I mean... its just... been so long.."

Sandra nods. "Yeah... five years.."

Another awkward silence.

"Why...?" Taehyung suddenly whispers and Sandra looks up confused.

"Why did you leave me.." Taehyung continues.

Sandra looks at him in disbelief.

"Isn't that what you wanted me to do? I mean if I remember correctly your exact words were 'stay the hell away from me just get out of my life'.." Her tone got a bit aggressive.

"I was drunk..."

"And that's an excuse?" Taehyung moved his gaze to the ground. "Who is he? Is it.... him?"

Sandra was once again confused. "Who's who?"

"The dad... your son's father?"

She looked at the older with a frown. Did he not see the child? He looked just like him something she was a bit envious about.

"Did you not see him?"

"Yeah, I saw him call you mommy.."

"No, I mean didn't you see his face?"

"What?" Now Taehyung was confused.

"Taehyung... he's your son... our son..." She speaks carefully.

He stares at her for a bit then starts laughing. "I thought you were here to talk not make jokes"

"I'm not joking Taehyung... Taekwon is your son.."

"Taekwon?"

Suddenly Taehyung wasn't laughing anymore he was serious.

"H-how can this be? I thought he...he.."

"I thought so too.. the first time I went back to the hospital after the accident I... I went to see Christopher... I wanted to know what really happened at the time but he was still unconscious... as I was leaving I bumped into the doctor and he told me the baby was still alive..." She started tearing up. "That they made a mistake and were trying to get a hold of me... he was a premature baby so he haf many defects... they thought he was dead bc his oxygen went down and his heart rate stopped for a few seconds...I-.."

Taehyung suddenly gets up.

"So... you're telling me my son has been alive for the past five years and I'm just finding out?"

Sandra stands up as well.

"I didn't tell you or anyone right away because I wanted everything to be clear first.. I wanted the truth to be out before anything else... I didn't want you by my side just bc of the baby knowing you hated me... he had to stay in the NICU and I visited him everyday..."
