I like my job as a journalist. Discovering and writing up amazing stories about horrific crimes and mysterious disappearances is what gives me life and pleasure. Some people call it sadistic, but it's not the blood and gore I like, it's being the one to tell other people about it.
Unfortunately for me, a recent police crackdown has caused a rapid decline in crimes recently, and I find myself short on work. Not to worry, I've been in this situation before. After a few days, the news beings word of a murder. I'm the first one there, ready to take notes on what happened. The crime is simple enough-- 'man, aged forty-two, bludgeoned to death. Motives unknown.' I'll have a good time writing up this open-and-shut case. All I have to do is figure out who to frame for the murder. I can't have my good name ruined; that would really interfere with my career.
