"tails, what's the rush? You're acting like eggman's split the world again" Sonic quipped "come on, I finally got the robots to work again!" Tails explained "wait, you fixed them? When did this happen?" "Just follow me, I'll explain later
Sonic and tails finally got to the old resistance base, which has just become everyone's hangout spot at this point. They find gadget, tinkering away and upgrading the tornado.
"Hey, gadget!" Tails yells, startling the robot. "Woa, woah, WOAAAAAAHH!" gadget exclaims as he starts to fall. The blue hedgehog spin dashes to catch the robot, holding him in his arms. "Hey, you okay buddy?" He asks, the metal wolf staring into his eyes "uhmmm... Y-yeah, t-thanks!" He says as he's set down
"Yeah, he's a bit ditzy, but he's cool" tails reassures, scratching the back of his head "hey, tails, didn't you say there was another robot that you found?" Sonic inquires. "Another robot? Can I meet him?" Gadget asks, almost begging to meet the other robot
"maybe not yet, it's very unsafe for two ai to be immediately introduced to eachother. It's much safer to slowly have them interact between eachother" tails explains, much to the wolf's dismay "hey, don't worry, you'll still be able to meet him some day, it's just going to have to take time, okay?" Sonic says, trying to cheer gadget up
"Alright. In the meantime, I'm going to continue working on the tornado. I've seen some of its mechanisms and weapons systems are not up to date, and are in fact very much behind in terms of current standards" gadget regales to the two as he sets to work on fixing the tornado
