Shunshin no Naruto

Chapter 1: the Shunshin no Jutsu

Naruto Uzumaki. Ignored, and hated because he is the Jinchuuriki of the Kyuubi. He has spiky, sunshine blonde hair, and azure blue eyes. The Uzumaki is short, but it's hard to get a proper diet, when nobody wants you in their store. Right now Naruto is four years old.

Naruto wears a pair of green goggles on his forehead, a blue t-shirt under a sleeveless, zipped-up orange hoodie. The blonde wears black shorts with a white stripe on each side, and blue shinobi sandals.

Naruto is walking around the village, when he sees a shinobi disappear in a cloud of smoke. The Uzumaki was entranced by what happened. He so wanted to learn whatever that jutsu was, and he knew the right person to teach it to him. So Naruto rushes to the Hokage's office, where his Jiji (Old man) would most likely be.

Naruto then barges into the office, not caring about what it looks like. He's been there many times. The blonde then yells, "Hey, Jiji! Could you teach me a jutsu!?"

Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Sandaime Hokage is a short man. He wears the official uniform of the Hokage: the customary hat and haori with a red, full-length kimono that is tied using a white sash. The Sandaime has white hair, and a goatee, with lines coming down from his eyes. Hiruzen then asks, "Why do you want to learn a jutsu, you are not even in the Academy yet?"

Naruto answers, "I saw a shinobi disappear into a cloud of smoke, Jiji! It was so awesome. I want to disappear into a cloud of smoke. Please?"

He then gave the Hokage his best puppy-dog eyes, and hiruzen could no longer say no. Hiruzen says, "Okay, I'll teach you the Jutsu. Naruto-chan, It's called the Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker Technique). By using the Shunshin no Jutsu, a ninja can move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily vitalise the body and move at extreme speeds. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance and elevation between the user and the intended destination."

Naruto looks kinda bored at the explanation. Hiruzen asks, "What's wrong Naruto-chan, I thought you wanted to learn this jutsu?"

Naruto quickly replies, "I do, but Jiji, you made it sound super boring."

Hiruzen just chuckles at the boy, and says, "Most jutsu are like that Naruto-chan. They look cool, but the explanation is super boring."

The Sarutobi then gets up from the desk, and grabs Naruto. Hiruzen then Shunshins to a training ground, one that Naruto has never been to before. Well, in all actuality he's never actually been to a training ground. The training ground is called the Third Training Ground, or Training Ground 3.

The third training ground is a portion of land located inside of Konoha. There is a view of mountains in the landscape and a large and deep river with forests in both of its sides. There is a glade and in its centre there are three stumps lined side by side where Hiruzen used to tie up his students, below there is the memorial stone, a polished kunai-shaped structure.

Hiruzen then says, "The Shunshin no Jutsu has only one hand seal: the Tiger seal. Just make the same shape that my hands are in, okay Naruto-chan?"

Naruto does just that. Hiruzen says, "That looks like a perfect Tiger hand seal, my boy, now all you have to do is practice gathering chakra throughout your body. Do you feel it, Naruto-chan?"

Naruto nods, and Hiruzen then says, "That's good. Now spread the chakra all throughout your body. Don't do too much at the beginning, because you might appear on the other side of Konoha. You don't want that. Try the smallest amount of chakra you can, okay Naruto-chan?"

Naruto, with a look of intense concentration on his face, says, "I think I got it as small as I can, Jiji!"

Hiruzen smiles, and says, "Now run at me!"

Naruto does exactly that. He disappears, and reappears right behind Hiruzen. The blonde then yells,"I DID IT JIJI! DID YOU SEE THAT!? I DID IT! I LEARNED MY FIRST JUTSU!"

Hiruzen chuckles, as he ruffles Naruto's hair. He replies, "I sure did, my boy. I sure did. Now if you want to be really good at it, practice everyday, and you'll be just as good as me with the Jutsu."

So that's what Naruto does. He trains for a whole year, trying to master the Shunshin no Jutsu, when he meets one, Shisui Uchiha.

Shisui was a very humble and down-to-earth individual. He was never arrogant about his own talent or accomplishments, yet was not above telling others when they made mistakes. At the same time, he was open-minded, never stubbornly believing in one ideal solely and strove to see that unique nature of current situation before him. Shisui was also a deeply compassionate man, even to enemies, showing sympathy and kindness to a dying Mukai Kohinata despite having been ordered to assassinate him as a traitor. He was also shown to be very perceptive and intuitive even from a young age, able to see through the emotional nature of others and likewise able to notice the smallest details around him.

Bearing stark resemblance to his ancestor Kagami Uchiha, Shisui also has short, unkempt, dark-coloured hair, black eyes and a relatively broad nose and well-defined eyelashes, that were turned upwards at each end.

He wears the standard attire of the Uchiha clan which includes a high-collared, dark-coloured outfit along with a tantō strapped to the right side of the back of his shoulder. He also wore what appeared to be a harness for his tantō which ran across his chest and fastened over both his shoulders.

Shisui asks, "What are you doing?"

Naruto looks at the teen, and answers, "I'm practicing a jutsu that Jiji taught me."

Shisui asks, "And what jutsu is that?"

Naruto proudly answers, "The Shunshin no Jutsu!"

Shisui then replies, "Well... Who are you?"

Naruto says, "I'm Naruto Uzumaki, Dattebayo!"

Shisui says, "Well, Naruto Uzumaki, you are in luck. Seeing as I am a master of the Shunshin no Jutsu. I'll teach you some things. So I want you to come back here tomorrow at the same time as now, okay?"

Naruto says, "Okay! Wait... What's your name, Mister?"

Shisui replies, "My name? Well, that's easy. It's Shisui Uchiha."
