Shunshin no Naruto

Chapter 8: Team 7 and the Land of the Waves

Team 7 has scratches all over their faces, and bodies, from a Demon Cat named Tora. is the cat owned by Madam Shijimi, the wife of the Fire Daimyō. Due to the huge amount of affection Madam Shijimi shows to her, which includes nearly squeezing the life out of the cat, Tora constantly tries to run away. Tora is recognised both times by the red ribbon on her right ear. She has brown fur, with a line running down her forehead with three lines going across it, and amber-coloured eyes.

When they enter the mission room, they see Madam Shijimi, the Sandaime, and their former sensei, Iruka Umino.

She has been described as spendthrift, vain, and philanthropistic. She also loves her cat a lot, although the cat clearly does not share the same degree of affection to her. Madam Shijimi is a corpulent woman with dark brown hair that she keeps in three separate poofs. She wears pink lipstick, pink nail-polish and purple eyeshadow. She also wears many different coloured rings.

Kakashi says, "Reporting on the Capture Tora mission. We, as in Team 7 have successfully captured Tora. Sakura, could you please hand Madam Shijimi her cat, please?"

Sakura answers, "Of course I will, Kakashi-sensei!" The Haruno steps up to Madam Shijimi, and hands her the cat. She then says, "Here is your cat, Madam Shijimi."

Madam Shijimi says, "Oh, thank you for getting my precious Tora-chan back!" Shijimi then practically suffocates the cat in a hug.

Naruto thinks, "Surves the stupid cat, right!"

Madam Shijimi then hands the Hokage the ryo for the mission, and leaves. The Sandaime then says, "you can mow a lawn, pick weeds, paint a fence..."

Everybody in the mission room hears Madam Shijimi, who yells, "TORA-CHAN COME BACK TO MOMA!"

The Sandaime then continues, "Or capture Tora, once again. So what is it?"

Naruto says, "NO! NO! NO! None of us want to do none of these petty chores! We want a real mission. Right, Teme, Sakura-chan?"

Sasuke just hn's in agreement, while Sakura nods her head. Iruka then is about to say something, when the Sandaime asks, "Kakashi do you think they are ready for a C-Rank mission?"

Kakashi answers, "Hai (Yes) Hokage-sama, they are ready."

The Sandaime nods for a bit, and then looks through a stack of folder. He says, "I have the perfect mission for you Team 7. You must protect a master bridge builder from bandits, Highwaymen, and the such. He is from Nami no Kuni (Land of Waves), and once you get there, you are to protect him while he is building his bridge. ANBU! Bring the client in!"

A couple hours later, a drunk old man enters the room. The old man says, "I am the master bridge builder named Tazuna." He then see Team 7, and says, "These squirts are supposed to protect me? They don't look like they can hurt a fly, especially Pinky over there!"

Sakura then abruptly gets up, and tries to rush Tazuna, but gets held back by Kakashi, who is holding her collar. Kakashi says, "Sakura-chan, we do not beat up our clients. Tazuna-san, I am a Jounin. If they can't protect you, I can."

Tazuna says, "Fine, but you better protect me with your lives!"

Kakashi then looks at his students, and says, "Pack for a month-long mission. Meet up at the gate in two hours. When we get back, I will teach you whatever you want, okay?"

The three Genin nod, and leave in their own way. Naruto obviously Shunshins, while Sasuke, and Sakura walk through the door.

Two hours later, and Team 7 is at the gates of Konoha. Kakashi says, "Let's go to Nami no Kuni."

Kakashi signs himself, and Team 7 out, and they then begin their journey to the Land of Waves.
