Max found himself trapped within the confines of heavy blankets that wrapped around his entire body like a burrito. He inhaled the heavy scent of pine wood, the same familiar scent sent him back to reality. His head no longer hurt, his heart was no longer in pain and his mind was finally clear as if everything he just experienced was just a bad dream.

David walked in seconds later, Max jolted up when he saw him enter with a mug filled with hot chocolate steaming from within the mug. David closed the door and noticed Max sitting up as if alarmed with the covers still wrapped around him. He shinned a warm smile at him as he sat down on the bed and handed him the mug filled with warming liquids.

David: "Here, drink this. I know you're not fond of hot chocolate, but kids your age shouldn't be drinking coffee to begin with." David looked towards Max with worried eyes. He sighed sitting next to Max whom held the mug in his hands gingerly. "I found you in the woods. You looked pained and your fever was running high. I thought it would be best if I brought you here instead of your tent since the air has recently gotten chilly. I'm surprised I didn't notice it until now."

Max just sits there watching David, was he back to normal? He asked himself now starring down into the warm mug. He took a swig of the liquids, it was quite well made. He could taste the chocolate and some caramel inside. The marshmallows floated calmly within the liquid.

Max: "H-Hey, David?" Max stuttered gripping the mug with his cold hands. David turned to look towards the boy whom was blushing ever so slightly. "Do-Do you remember what happened today?" Max asks, David looks at her confused.

David: "What's with this question, Max?" Max shuffled in his covers not exactly sure how to answer this question. Why was he acting so shy now? He didn't know. He tried to snap himself out of it by biting his lip a couple of times, but when he looked into David's eyes, he couldn't help, but feel his heart flutter.

Max: "Oh, uhm, I mean... Everyone has been acting weird lately. You know, in the mess hall... Everyone was being overly friendly with everyone, even Nurf was being...sweet." Max started to lose his voice half way through his sentence. David smiled lightly at Max as he wrapped an arm around the boy.

David: "Shouldn't that be a good thing? Nurf isn't picking on anyone anymore, the kids are getting alone and I don't have to worry about them breaking something, let alone them harassing me all the time with their devious plots. Right, Max?" Max blushed and turned away from him still holding the mug. David chuckled. "Its fine. I too thought it was a bit strange. I wasn't sure if I liked it or not. Its different from the norm, for sure, but isn't chance good?"

Max starred up at David whom just sat there starring at the door with a smile on his face. He thought to himself, I guess change is good, but for what reason?

Max: "David, when you entered the Mess Hall, how did you feel?" David tapped his index finger to his lips. Max swallowed a lump in his throat as he watched him.

David: "You know, now that you mention it--I did feel a little weird. I was overwhelmed by all these strange feelings. My heart was beating against my rib cage, I was dizzy and everywhere I looked I saw bright lights and sparkles everywhere as if I was hypnotized. I don't remember much of what happened after entered. Its like a whole section of that moment was just lost somewhere." Max looked at David shocked.

Max: "You felt that too?! I thought I was the only one. The same crazy thing happened to me. I got this insane headache and then my heart started to hurt painfully and I started seeing stars around everyone. The whole world looked pink and everything was too bright. I couldn't stand it. Oh god the smell, oh god that horrible smell! The smell of honey, it was disgusting! I hate sweet things." Max retorts forgetting what he was holding and drinking in his hands. He likes sweet things, but he wouldn't admit it.

David: "Is that what that smell was? I thought it was butterscotch. I use to eat that stuff all the time as a kid. I loved the smell of it." David smiled onward not recalling a single thing that happened. Max seemed to be the only one who remember. He quickly placed his cup in David's hands as he rushed out of David's room.

David stood up quickly holding the cup chasing after Max. "Max! Where are you going?! You're still sick!" David called out to him. Max turned and shouted back.

Max: "I'm going to figure out what's going on here!" He shouted as he quickly ran off. David held the cup gingerly smiling as Max ran off to find the others. Taking a sip of the cup he smiles down at it.

David: "Caramel." He says to himself as he takes another sip as the door to the cabin slowly closes.
