Felix P.O.V

A week had passed since Chase and I had started our English project with three new strange and interesting friends. At first I was pretty hesitant with getting to know them, but quickly began to enjoy their presence.

Scarlet is a really outgoing person. She's bright, perky, and overly optimistic. She acts as a mother to Jasper, constantly worrying about him and asking if he's okay.

Oscar is the exact opposite of Scarlet. He's quiet, reserved, and overly pessimistic. He's almost like that chill uncle that everyone loves. If Jasper wants to do something stupid or weird, Oscar is usually there to tag along.

Now as for Jasper, he's the one that intrigues me the most. He is very good looking in my eyes and sometimes I can't help but stare at him. He's funny and witty and never ceases to brighten up the room. Jasper is loud, energetic, and stupidly optimistic. He's caring and always puts others before himself. There's also that seemingly dark side of him that Chase and I saw that day in the cafeteria. It seemed as though he were bi polar, but ever since then he hasn't shown any signs of his mood changing rapidly.

Maybe he's just really good at intimidating people.

Anyway, everyday this week after school we spent our time at Chase's house working on our project or other homework assignments.

I quickly got used to the dynamic of the trio occasionally finding myself right in the middle of them. Soon enough, I began to want to learn more about our new friends. Everything about them seemed so interesting, I couldn't help but be curious.

And so, here I am now, once again wasting my thoughts on seemingly important details about their character.

I sat in my chair head on the desk trying to catch up on some lost sleep. I stayed up late texting Jasper about the project so I ended up getting like three hours of sleep. Thankfully, the class was mostly empty having to do with the fact that it's a Monday morning and who wants to be early on a Monday morning.

The vibration of my phone shook me out of my sleep. Tiredly I pulled my phone from my pocket staring at the screen.

Jasper's name appeared at the top of my phone and suddenly I was wide awake. I clicked on his name opening up the message.

Jasper: Morning Felix! Sorry about keeping you up so late last night. I tend to lose track of time real easily :)

Me: Good morning Jasper! It's alright. Honestly I was having a lot of fun! You really know your stuff when it comes to this government stuff.

Jasper: You flatter me!

Me: I do my best!

Jasper: Keep it up and you might just have me swooning ;)

Me: Maybe that's the plan ; )

Jasper: lol! Then I'm looking forward to it! Gotta run class is starting. See ya at lunch!

Me: See you at lunch!

I exited the chat taking in the now noisy classroom. How could people be so loud so early in the morning. Despite the rather rambunctious classroom of people my mood was still uplifted, seemingly thanks to the short conversation with Jasper. Although I have only known him for a short time I can't help, but so...happy around him. He's a wonderful change of pace compared to the people who follow me around like mindless sheep.
I don't necessarily hate those people, it just gets annoying having people constantly surround me like I'm the greatest thing since sliced bread.

"Deep in thought there, buddy?"
I looked up at Chase who stood in front of me leaning against his desk.

"Just daydreaming as always" I replied.

"Let me guess? Does it have something to do with our new flirtatious baseball friend?"
I smirked, letting out a small chuckle. I rested my chin on the palm of my hand focusing on Chase.

"What in the world would give you that idea" I asked, half jokingly.

"Oh come on I know you've texting him nonstop for the passed week" He smirked, planting himself into his seat in front of me. I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah about the project"

"Hmmm sure you just keep telling yourself that"

I kicked his chair, laughing. "Whatever dude"

The bell rang, cutting our joke short. Kids scurried into their seats as the teacher walked into class. And just like that the day began.

First period passed quickly, my good mood still in place. Unfortunately, it didn't last much longer after the bell rang.

"FELIX" A loud female voice echoed in the class. I inwardly cringed at the excessively loud cry. I finished packing my bag bracing myself for the inevitable impact. She did this everyday at almost the same time every morning.

A short red haired girl jumped onto me, latching herself onto my arm.

"Hello Morgan" I called putting on a bright smile as I let cling to me.

"FELIX" She whined, " You haven't been hanging out with us the past week! Where have you been?"

it took every nerve in my body not to roll my eyes and push her away. Morgan isn't a horrible person and for the most part I enjoy her company, but she's a lot to take in, especially in the morning. She can also be pretty clingy.

"I've been hanging out with some kids from my English class. We're working on a project together"

"Oooo who are they? Are they nice? Do they actually do work" Morgan questioned curiously as we walked out of the class together. I forced out a chuckle and gently pulled her off me so we could walk side by side.

"They are very nice and yes they work. Actually I feel like they've been doing most of the work"

"Wow really that's awesome! I'm glad they're good people!"

Unconsciously I smiled to myself as Jasper's face crossed my mind. "Yeah, me too"

Suddenly Morgan stopped walking and pulled me over to the side of the hallway. She put her hands on her hips and looked me straight in the eye, not blinking. It honestly kinda freaked me out.

"Um, Morg..." I was cut off with a loud shush and a wide, kinda creepy, smile.

"I saw that look in your eyes. Who is it!?" She whispered loudly. I could only look at her in confusion.

"What are you talking about?"

"I'm asking you which one of your groupmates do you like!"

"Um...all of them?"

"NO! Which one do you have a crush on!?" Morgan, practically vibrating from excitement, stared at me intently. For a moment I froze processing what she just said. I couldn't stop the ugly snort as I realized what she was talking about.

"I don't have a crush on one of them" I replied with a slight laugh.

A skeptical look crossed her face as she stepped closer to me.

"Yeah right! That look on your face says otherwise"

"I think you're just overreacting" I really don't know what she's talking about. I haven't even known them for a full week, so how could I catch feelings so quickly.
