If you're a student writer, you have to write, AND keep your grades up! I really don't want to say this, but your studying should always be more important than writing .
Trying to get the grades that you want it hard. It takes time, patience, and a lot of hard work.
As a relatively good student, I know that revision is a total pain in the arse, but the end results are worth the pain and torture.
TIP NUMERO UNO: WORK YOUR BUTT OFF!! NO, ABSOLUTELY NO PROCRASTINATING!
(Oh shit I'm the one procrastinating here-)
There are different revision methods, but my favourite is to starts three weeks before a test and follow this plan:
3 weeks before test: finalise notes
2 weeks: learn notes and cross-reference others' notes to make sure you have everything
1 week: do exercisesWhen I revise, I always put on soft music because I can NEVER focus without music. At the same time, I set a timer for around 30 minutes. In that 30 minutes, I revise as hard as I can, then reward myself afterwards with 5-10 minutes of break time.
Some revision methods are subject specific, so here are the ways to revise for these subjects:
Languages: gain a vocabulary and learn the more complex sentence structures
English: READ
Maths: learn and understand equations. Do lots of questions.
Biology: draw the diagrams and learn them, know how to get the marks by using specific vocab
Chemistry: practice questions and understand the stuff the teacher might tell you to memorise
Physics: same as maths basicallyHopefully these tips will help you with your studying :) good luck!
