YAY YOU DID IT! well not much to say so here....
Oh! But wait! There's a picture of Emma off to the side (if you are on the website)! ------>

Emma's POV
Kylie's mom buckled her seatbelt and turned to face the three girls in the backseat. "You girls ready?" she asked, a smile on her face despite the early time of the day it was.
Kylie and her friend- Megan I think it was- flash her a grin and a thumbs up in return. "We're good!" they chorus.
I don't bother hiding my yawn. "Well, I woke up kind of early so I could really go for a mocha."
She drives out of her garage. "Sure, I guess that's ok."
My mom, sitting in the front seat, swivels to glare at me. "Sweetie, you don't need coffee," she dismisses my demand.
I push out my lower lip in my signature pout. Now she knows that this can and will get ugly if I don't get my way.
Kylie's mom speaks, "Really, it's no big deal! Plus I'm sure she was waken up early by my daughter. It's the least I can do." She directs the next question to me, "What time did you get up, dear?"
I let out another yawn. "A little bit past noon."
"Oh."
After a few minutes of awkward silence the car pulls up to a Starbucks.
"I'll have a tall caramel mocha," I give my request to Kylie's mom.
"Do you girls want anything?"
Kylie purses her lips and decides. "A vanilla steamer in whatever the smallest size is, please!"
She nods and turns to Kylie's other friend. "Madi, how about you? Do you want anything?"
Hmm. Well, Madi is sort of close to Megan.
Madi knaws on her lower lip in thought before answering, "I'll have the same thing as Kylie, please."
Kylie's mom smiles genuinely at her and states all of the orders to the drive-through guy.
A few minutes later we all have our coffees in hand and are driving back downtown to where Kylie and I had been just the day earlier.
I inhale the deep aroma of coffee and take a tiny sip of my drink while I silently watch Kylie and Madi giggle and chat with each other. Every few minutes one of them will ask me a question to try to drag me into their conversation about their youth group activities, but I shrug off their words and answer with a yes, no, or not sure.
I always thought that after all this time, Kylie and I would still be the best of friends, but now there is a new girl in the picture.
Madi.
It's not that I don't like her- she seems nice enough, even too nice- but I feel like she's taking my place in my childhood friend's life.
And I don't like being replaced.
I also don't like that Kylie invited her to come along. It was supposed to be our time together.
This morning, as soon as I woke up, Kylie was hovering above my face, eagerly telling me about her super smart, super talented, super gorgeous, super nice, super perfect friend. She said she would be able to help us find the treasure that was written about in the book.
I'm sure we could have found it by ourselves though.
We don't need "perfect" Madi.
And you know what?
So far, all she's done is laugh obnoxiously, agree with Kylie, and smile at me.
All of a sudden, Kylie's voice breaks through my angry thoughts, "Hey, after we find the treasure, shouldn't we try to find the owner to give it to her?"
Madi giggles. "Yeah, we should! Great idea Kylie!"
Then she turns to me and grins.
Grrrrrrr....
