Jessie POV
As I was walking down the right side of the path, I felt as though someone was watching me. Looking over my shoulder I couldn't see anything, but that doesn't mean there isn't something there. I tried to just ignore it and keep walking but I kept feeling a shiver go up my spine. Just as I was about to turn around, a hand came over my nose and mouth cutting off my air way. Everything slowly started to go black.
Alex POV
We were all meeting up at the statue but she wasn't there. I started to get worried when Van Pelt showed up, and to all of our surprise, he had Jessie. But she was passed out in his arms and barely looked like she was breathing. I could hear my heart in my ears beating like a drum. Van Pelt took out a gun and held it to her head, demanding to give him the jewel, but we didn't have it. Just as he was about to pull the trigger, my body went into auto pilot and I ran forward pushing the gun out of his hands and into mine.
